Any thoughts on the Herman Li Twitch ban??

Quick question! If you become affiliate and someone subs before you have sub badges, can those subscribers get those sub badges when you eventually get them? Like, do they acquire them retroactively?

I like to get Partnered I got Affiliate back in Nov. 2019 but I'm a Person with a Disability and all I do is Stream Different Games and more than 1 a Stream too since I seen everyone just play 1 Game and only Stick to it for the Entire Stream but I do like Retro Gaming I'm into Randomizers MOSTLY Zelda! but yeah the Biggest Hurdle I can't leap Over is getting the 75 Viewers I just decided to get 1000 Followers 1st before I go find my Niche Audience to see what they wanna see to get my Audience to come back for more! if you have an Idea on what I should do I'm all Ears

I am so new to streaming, I didn't even watch streams before going on twitch. I enjoy the process a lot though and you are the best mentor. I'd be blind without the advice from this channel.

I agree with the comments about Fiverr, I got 3 emotes for $33 (same seller was offering 5 for $50-55)... and they are nice emotes. but this is relatively cheap compared to most that start at 20-50 per emote.
shop around on Fiverr and see what $ rate/quality fits you.

So basically the best thing you can do as a streamer is learn how to draw your own emotes, badges and logos

I make my own logos and stuff. Been experimenting with them the last couple of months. Im assuming I can save myself a lot of money if I make my own stuff which would help not spending unecessary $$$ on visuals. Would you recommend this practice?

Started streaming in 2021 and just hit affiliate and i'm making all the emotes/badges myself :-) lucky for me I am a graphic designer so know my way around photoshop already, but my first time trying to make pixel art/twitch emotes, so excited to venture into this kinda work!

I followed these instructions to the letter and I am very pleased to say that in the first 6 weeks of being Affiliate I reached up to 20 subscribers and my view average went up from 3.0 to 5.0. Im really having fun with all of the creation also. Its just a fun time. everytime. getting LOLs on with Chat is the best thing. Thank you Harris for all of your videos and help :)

My friend grew to 20 viewers and is only on twitch and on nothing else and its consistent 13-30 viewers all the time.

Superb advice, the problem i have is schedule. Currently im sick, and in a way its worked in my favour obviously in building a "following", my problem im facing is when im back to work and well again, i work 12hr days 5 days a week finishing at 7pm.....iam gonna have little to no time to stream😔

Where do I learn OBS?

I haven't spent my personal money on any of my upgrades just Twitch "income," which I haven't used much of tbh and working on finding my brand. I made my emotes and sub badges to save money. My subs are called Demon Dogs because my oldest doggo, Demon named after lead dog in Snow Dogs, passed in 2020 and wanted to incorporate her in some way. My dog currently also incorporated in the badges.

Using the right hashtags, how many times a week, and figuring out what times to post on social media is definitely a factor I have learned in advertising my content.

My biggest problems at the moment is lighting, space, and mic (I need a shock mount to eliminate the vibrations and/or move it to another piece of furniture right next to me and closer).

For people who haven't had any guidebook or just jumping in DEFINITELY take this advice and ask for help with your creative friends and or followers. That can be a way for them to "support" your channel for say and a lot enjoy to do so, especially if you give them a shotout 😉. Also incorporate your followers in decisions the reason I have Demon Dogs as my subs are because of said subs they like why not use her name in that and later on maybe an emote. Bamn advice used and they felt heard and brought more people to my channel. If you are on a teeter totter on what to do make a poll for the subs/followers on socials and have them help you, they love that! I'm not at a big streamer but my channel has grown more than I thought it would and pretty quick too in my opinion for doing it only 2 days a week and not doing my yt montage videos.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT focus on your views, likes, comments, followers, subs numbers if you do this you will loose your passion and fun for streaming/gaming/creating content. It will give you anxiety and make you only focus on that instead of the content. You will get there, I promise with advertising on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. It just takes time okay be patient. Yes I will be the first to admit I sometimes get upset/frustrated when i don't get 3 viewers but I then look at the past month and see what did I do? Did I accidentally change something? Do i need to shift my time slot? Did I advertise as much as i should have? Like he said always reflect back and see. Ask your friend for help if you can't see why you are not getting the views. Just do NOT wear yourself out by constantly worrying about the numbers, just have fun!

I made my own emotes by taking photos of myself in different ways, removing the background and resizing. Went down well and didn't cost a thing! :D
