I bet Donald Fagen has Matteo on speed dial .
ОтветитьHe hasn't even given his 30% in this video.
ОтветитьIncomincio a credere sul serio che gli extraterrestri sono tra di noi 😂😂
ОтветитьSincerely I listen to Matteo’s album and I gave up half way through as I don’t really enjoy these long guitar instrumental. But, room 335 is probably the most beautiful melodic guitar solo I have heard in my entire life. I simply could hear his perfect beautiful melodic runs shaping clearly and articulating each chord, building slowly the tension till he trailblazed. It is simply perfection. The only over guitar solo that gave me that wow feeling is “swing to bop” by Charlie Christian recorded in 1941 at mintons.
ОтветитьSimply beautiful restrain!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this.
ОтветитьYou should be reacting on marco Sfogli's Andromeda
ОтветитьI've played this track at least 6 times in the last 2 days , i think it's the best playing i've seen by anyone ever . The tone , attack , clarity and perfect timing . Larry Carlton's always been inspirational and no surprise that Matteo would cover " Room 335 " . Really did it justice !
ОтветитьWow... unbelievable!!! 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
ОтветитьI love this guy, being able to appreciate to really appreciate what he's listening to. Ive been watching some reaction videos, and they try to critique him. Matteo is just so far up the ladder i dont know too many people who would try. If al dimeolla and steve vai are blown away by him, some you tube reacter is out of his league. I've played jazz bass professionally for over 50 years and this guy just blows my mind . It's not just the soeed and precision of his playing its the fusion of styles. He effortlessly blends jazz, rock and blues that is just mind boggling. And ge never runs out if ideas or plays himself into a corner.
ОтветитьNumber One in the world.
Italia sempre il meglio in arte e poesia. Spiacente per altri😂
Ive heard dome people describe Mateo as a noodle meister. If you listen to the way he plays over the chord structures, melding rock and jazz together. Its genious. This is so far beyond shredding it isnt even in the same time zone.
ОтветитьAlready a legend.
Bravo Matteo!!
Stratele studios... sei un grande ,👍💪💪si vede che ami la buona musica. Bravissimo!!💪
ОтветитьMateo is my favorite guitarist right now,I am digging his tasty licks and chops, sounds like a delicious meal 😅,but he is the new master on the block.Great job Wow 👏
ОтветитьEppure esiste un povero miserabile invidioso che parla male di Matteo....un certo Enrico Silvestrin
ОтветитьWatching him is like standing there watching an out of control car fire burn, all you can do is stare, very little movement.
ОтветитьThis solo is really a masterpiece
ОтветитьWhat a wanderful world..
ОтветитьSuch joy in Matteo's lines. I'm tearing up. Maybe it's from losing my Dad recently, but Matteo's playing isn't helping :)
ОтветитьMatteo's virtuosity is mindblowing❣️ He takes guitar playing to a new level❣️ Love it❣️
ОтветитьLearning any musical instrument: First learn to play instrument up to post college standard ( approximately 15 years, or 10,000 hours rule)
2) Know your way around the instrument without looking (more years) during this entire time, develop skill of being able to improvise around chords in the 'usual' way.
3) Be blessed with ears beyond most musicians in being able to improvise away from the common licks to be recognised by the entire guitar fraternity as being genius. Finally,
4) (the hardest skill) Be humble.
That’s a very beautiful solo! Wow… with a lot of taste … I like the way how he build up his solo here, great talent … I would like to see him and Jacob Collier together…. Magical
ОтветитьMatteo is from a different universe, proves it over and over, and again and again. First I saw the covers, then the impov and waited with my own comments for his own music as a writer/composer. After Silkroad and Drop D.. It was comfirmed. Matteo is THE next level. You can often hear a lot of influences like Jeff Beck of Eric Johnson and also his classical background, but the way he uses it all and and makes it his own... man.. But in this case, these jazz sessions and covers are so great! speechless!
Ответитьincredible
Ответитьbecause of finger style other guitarist sounds jagged or close to staccato but he's is smooth and connected... can't say more about this kid. You're making many so called Guitar Gods look Demi-Gods. haha... and have you seen this guys guitar gear, foot etc., close to none. :)
ОтветитьThe opening sounds a bit like "Peg" but that's Jay Graydon... Metteo is an amazing guitarist!!
ОтветитьThis is Claudio Quartarone's guitar technique. Truly one of the best in the game! His skills are on another level.
ОтветитьMatteo is a TRUE genius on guitar! His technique and improv skills have almost no peer... except for maybe Guthrie Govan!
ОтветитьCongratulations on your profound comments which describe the true meaning of musicality and great musical taste and sense. Larry and Matteo are feathers of the same bird.
ОтветитьIt is so nice as well seeing Matteo playing..
ОтветитьSo tasty !
ОтветитьIn italia non capiscono niente .un artista del genere in america sarebbe gia' diventato il dio della chitarra senza eguali. C'è lo invidierebbe tutto il mondo .
ОтветитьHé is very good but not there yet …lotta notes but need a little more soul but he is so young .Where he is gonna from there
See him grow :^))))
Unbelievably good, incredible! What more can I say? Just enjoy his genius…
ОтветитьJeff...starting to explore some of your musical tastes. I listened to this piece in my sauna(fully insulated and nearly sound proof) It gave me chills just how good Matteo is. (had to stay in longer) His fingers are like high speed tarantula legs.... amazing
ОтветитьHe is ridiculous
ОтветитьBetter than the original! Without a doubt
ОтветитьFantastic. I have to watch this almost every day. Super.
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic cover!! I can't bring myself to saying it was "better" than Larry, but WOW! I LOVED some of the variations and rhythm changes they did. Overall, this was exceptional! Great reaction!
ОтветитьI just love it when this guy puts on his Eric Johnson hat,but he can play anything. He comes off as really humble in interviews and I see him as a great embassador for the guitar.Truly a generational talent.
ОтветитьWith everything that life is throwing at us these days, there’s Matteo. So thrilling and inspiring.
ОтветитьJeff, I keep coming back to your reactions of Matteo Mancuso. It's not just that I feel a kinship with your reactions towards the young man, but that I find myself just lapping up the deliciously-wise words and sentiments you express about 1) the nature of commitment, long-term to a craft such as a musical instrument and 2) your pithy descriptions how innate human talent, predisposition and sheer potential through practice combine. It's just wonderful stuff.
I'm a 44 year old Australian man who works in IT for a day-job but who picked up a guitar at age 12, having been inspired by Michael J. Fox miming through the end Johnny B Good solo at the end of Back to the Future. I figured it was the coolest thing ever. Fast-forward decades and I was the beneficiary of some years of professional tutoring but who now regrets not sticking out those lessons for longer and subsequently regretting my own lack of musical freedom and knowledge. It's not so much a sadness but a regret and one that leads me to have such admiration for those who HAVE made hay while the sun shines within their own musical possibilities.
In short, thanks for your wonderful reactions and wisdom, it is comforting during sometimes troubling times and is much appreciated.
It is hard to explain to non musicians, or even some decent amateurs how incredibly knowledgeable you have to be in order to do this.
ОтветитьMy husband and I are huge Carlton fans. This is spot on.
