In 76 I was 9. Absolutely love and remember all the awesome music of the time. Constantly singing everything I heard and still do today. It's like it's all stored in my brain and now new people can dig it too!

I play the 70s and 80s every day. I never get tired of it.
I never go flow with this generation of music. I listen to old music because the messages of the songs are deep and from the heart.

God...I forgot all about this song.... what has happened to this world?...back then, people could WRITE music...they could SING....they could PLAY instruments. Now it's all about choreographed performances with literal fireworks. It's all about social media. Computerized music. 'Singers' with no real talent, just some good looks and professional 'stylists' and 'choreographers'.

Also, singers and musicians such as these...this is when men could BE men...talk about their feelings. When men didn't feel they had to ACT cool...DRESS thug...ACT tough...

I was working with Kalamazoo county sheriff department in 1977 when they came. I was a teen law enforcement explore back then and I had to make sure people in the grand stand would not try and get through... I met them before and after the show.. Really great guys

It was pretty easy to get one of the girls up to dance when this song came on at the local record hop. However, I usually had to drink quite a bit to get my nerve up to ask, and by then I was half bombed. Good memories though!

Just had my 11 yr old son listen to Soldier in the Rain, he said that he wishes that they would play music like that again on the radio. Yeah, some of the music is dated, but the good musicians and their songs always seem to stand the test of time. Just ask my son!

Back when music was still crafted not manufactured - thank God I lived through it great memories wonderful singalong too.
