The END of Mineplex - What REALLY Went Wrong...

last time i played mineplex was in 2015. its been so long since i last played it. i used to play it in elementary school with my friends after school for hours. i remember on days where my school would start at 10 or 12 i would play it with a friend until we needed to go to school. the first time i skipped school was to just play mineplex for the entire day. i just now found out it doesn't exist anymore i wish i could go back and mess around with the shit i got.

I would have played the server if it had more players. Especially for hunger games. Doesn't seem like there's anymore java servers that have a good hunger games. These kids bro they don't know how fun that shit was

Crazy that you mention BattleAU and Chiss - that is true nostalgia right there! I played AusMC and most iterations back in the day (BattleAU, SeaMC etc) no doubt I played with you at some point! Still remember the day when Chiss was working on the Counter Strike game mode and we all joined his private server to test. Thanks for the memories!

My fondest memories of being a young lad was being on that server. Paintball, Super Smash Mobs, Cs:Go, Wizard battle, some of the pvp modes and the variety party mode. And the ever laggy block hunt of course. It still breaks my heart a year after its shutdown. So much time spent on there. GG Mineplex.

a server i joined back in high school was small but good. everyone knew each other. the owner of the server had to sell it due to personal issues which we were fine with until the person he sold it to ruined EVERYTHING. he then didn't want to help people or fix the server he ruined and sold the server to someone else who had another server and they combined. it lost all the good stuff about it and i never saw my friends again. This was probably 2014

I remember back in the day, I used to play skywars on the bedrock server religiously, where I found out the top 10 players on the leaderboards were all cheating massively, despite being able to get 1st place, it took me completely out of wanting to play on the server.

Mineplex was a very great memory for me especially that game mode where you played as mobs against each other. I would play day all afternoon and all night eith my friends. Spinning the lootboxes and winning the free Ultra (i forget what the first rank was) and when i got my first job in highschool i bought the upgrade from my free rank to another one. This and GOTPVP were my childhood minecraft servers

Mineplex was where I met some of my first Minecraft friends. It was where I made lots of memories that I'll never forget. I hope something like Mineplex comes back soon. RIP Mineplex. o7

It died after it updated to 1.12 pvp and the release of skyblock on hypixel who has an average of 20k players hypixel same as cubecraft after the 1.12 update the server died leaving behind memory’s we all will not forget the cubecraft with these server downfalls the OG survival games died with it so sad to be honest 90% of the hypixel games are also dead because every single kid is just sitting in skyblock trying to get as much money as possible and they will never experience the fun we had playing these 1.8 pvp OG games in a Skype call with our friends

Man I used to play on this server so much... Met my best online friends , shoutout to Smonjear and faz1000, Aerox and Slightly_Savage.
The domination , TDM and clans game modes along with clans were freaking amazing.

The combat was unique and different from any other server which i had encounter , but all the classes hadn't been touched in YEARS and there was balancing to do...
People realized they could abuse asassin class with auto evade cheats and auto Clickersto melt your HP and be invincible 🫠 required very little skill

Definitely had the potential to be one of the best game modes ever created with a custom mod pack, balance changes and some extra classes (there 5 in total) , and more abilities to choose from.

It royally sucks seeing Mineplex, like Shotbow, go from having a hard time finding an open lobby for a game to now struggling to find enough players to start one.

Except Mineplex actually keeled over. Shotbow is still kicking afaik.

i may be only 12 but i remember playing on mineplex for HOURS per day it was some of the best times on Minecraft I've ever had. when it shut down i was nearly crying. the sever ment so much to me and its where i made some of my first friends. cake wars was my Fav and i hope this new project can regive me and the other players the joy and fun we had on mineplex. i can imagine the fans probably attacked the owners of the server for shutting down the server

they deserve it after having mods that prolly smell like piss and have no right banning people for no reason.

I always wanted to know what happened to the mineplex bedrock server. I used to play on it every day, talking to a ton of people on the house building game mode. It was so fun. I met so many people. Since it was shut down, I quit minecraft. Now I only play for PVP because barely anyone talks in the chat anymore. Most of my real life friends can't afford Minecraft, and thats how important the server was to me. I quit because it shut down.

Their anticheat was so bad back then I hacked on there constantly and never got banned. So I continuously did it and then hopped back on Hypixel to play afterwards 😂

Hypixel reminds me of a Mcdonalds/Chik-fil-a whilst Mineplex reminds me of Burger King

The memories I have on this server and how it’s a big part of my childhood , isn’t enough to put in words.

I play bedrock, and Mineplex was the only server I ever consistently played. I was surprised and sad when it was no longer on the server list.

This was so depressing. I was one of the last 20 people who played before the death.

I miss it

I remember waiting in game lobby and if you timed it you could break the block and jump up on 2 block high platform before protection glitched it back

I remember playing on this server years ago but the problem is me and my friends were cheaters and none of us ever got caught. I remember constantly abusing cheats while playing prophunt, instantly getting the best weapon as a prop and being immune while at the same time having aimbot with my bow. As a Seeker I remember having the ability to be immune too aswell as having a cheat that highlighted props that were players on the whole map so I never lost lol

i remember getting the urge I play but then saw it wouldn’t open, looked it up and it had shut down a few days prior. so sad!! this is still the best Minecraft server to me. the mini games were amazing and the players. i LOVED the bridges the most. a few years ago since the server was dead by then, a few people and i in the bridges lobby made a group chat so we could play. really sucks it’s gone :(

i was only really upset about the no announcement because i lost a lot of my old friends usernames 😭 a server i loved (mineverse) kinda wiped out a bunch of stuff including my friends list and only had a few on mineplex and now I lost that too! regardless, i am still keeping up with the new server and waiting for it to launch. i loved mineplex, i miss it!
