If humans would stop f-ing up the earth there would be no need for a #2
ОтветитьIn my opinion... the moon should be converted into a shell world rather than terraformed. The moon's gravity is not enough to hold a thick atmosphere.

ОтветитьTo be honest here they are now talking about colonization on the moon Titan and since we have 293 moons in are own solar system I believe it be more logical to find out which are habitable for human beings to live on and which are not
ОтветитьNO.! let it stay as it is ..
ОтветитьI think it would be a huge waste to speed up the moon day/night cycle. Having a month long day could give you a benefit for agriculture, assuming you were doing some of that up there to begin with. I would think such considerations should be applied any body you want to terraform. We don't really need a 24 hour day/night, sure it's what we're used to, but that doesn't automatically make it a benefit or better than what ever natural day/night cycle had.
ОтветитьChanging the homo sapiens to adapt to exoplanets would be very dangerous. The same way any former colony in the americas would have no problems declaring war against their old coutries, those new "humans" would become a potential treat to humanity.
ОтветитьSorry missed the point trying to translate this into understandable language , where is the "oith"
ОтветитьWe could just live inside the moon considering it is hollow.
ОтветитьHe after playing spore for the 5th time lmao
and i thought of this question
Wouldn't that eradicate moonlight on earth?
🙏🇬🇧🙏
We shall do it for shits and giggles
ОтветитьOf course you can, but Moon(Lunar) and other moons such as Ganymede are belongs to Andromeda council and your galactic neighbors who had build Moon.
They had many bases in the Sol system, your Moon terraforming process would be discussed by those members if you're seriously to do so.
Thank you for the nice video
ОтветитьMatrioshka moon, no problems to keep the air.
ОтветитьI would expect health effects of low gravity to be largely solved by mid-century through silencing our sedentary genes. This would be an element of life extension efforts. I expect low gravity to become very popular (though whether Lunar or Martian is preferred, I don't know).
ОтветитьWouldn't an easier (and cheaper) answer to creating a magnetosphere be to incorporate D-sup into the nucleosomes of the chromatin structure of human cells? It's already been accomplished in real life.
ОтветитьYou can Astrofantize all you want but without a magnetic field and enough gravity it's Terrafantacy.
ОтветитьI like to imagine all this has already been accomplished and your simply explaining the proceess of how we completed it..
ОтветитьWe are far more likely to colonize the moon, before Mars. Economy can be exchanged almost instantly between earth and moon. If you mind the 3 second pause between messages, then you're not truly isolated or require full independence of resources from earth. The only problem is the tidal locking of the moon, which means 28 day cycles, so solar power isn't really feasible, unless there are number of solar collectors that fill their batteries to be transported back via to a moon base and transport used batteries to be recharged via these solar collectors from other locations. But to do that it might be wise to have the moon base located closer to the north or south pole of the moon.
Ответить676th to comment.
ОтветитьGoing to Venus is unthinkable. To get nitrogen from the moon, you can take it from the Earth itself
ОтветитьIntuition says moon gravity is too low to retain atmosphere thick enough to support the degree of oxygenated life we desire.
ОтветитьHumanity won't get to other stars except in a sad, sickly, lone ship near the end of our specie's reign that will sail through an Alpha Centauri planetary system and into oblivion.
ОтветитьTrump for Moon president 2024
ОтветитьWhy would we change the dark mystic about the moon it's waxing and waning and its deep mystery. Sometimes we need to just leave things as they are...we don't need to muck up the natural order of our precious moon.
ОтветитьCan you do an analysis of how one would relocate Mars to the moon's current orbit and push the moon to orbit Venus and what the potential consequences of all these would be...
ОтветитьHow will terraforming the moon affect the ocean tides?
Will Earth's gravity be affected?
Nice but wishful thinking. Maybe in the distant future if we manage to keep ourselves a peaceful civilization.
ОтветитьPlaying with the laws of nature like speeding up the moons spin, could have very serious unseen consequences. Think of the damage our games have already caused on earth
ОтветитьLet's take care of mother earth instead!
ОтветитьNo you can't, just like mars the gravity is too low, so humans can't live there, and the atmosphere is too thin. Stick to Venus it is almost the same size and has an atmosphere and it is closer to earth than Mars. Mining the moon is the worst idea, if you take away the mass of the moon you will mess up the tides of the seas.
ОтветитьOkay but what do you do about the regilith? If you add any kind of atmosphere wouldn’t winds would start to kick up the really jagged and sharp stuff that has never been dulled by erosion?
ОтветитьMake sure magnetic field is started up on the moon! 🌙
Ответить> The Earth has 1M times the rotational energy of the Moon
> The Moon only need 1000x its current rotational energy to have a 24h day
Would the Moon be close enough to Earth to spin it up using the Earth's magnetic field, and harvest the energy to do so by making the Earth spin slightly slower?
There are some cases against terrafoming the moon as it will be used for mining and industry, which is important for space exploration. This mining and industry is less limited if there is no biosphere to destroy
ОтветитьEven not watching the video, it's IMPOSSIBLE to terraform the moon because it does not have enough gravity to hold on to an atmosphere. Science ISN'T some magic wand, it's still bound by the basic physical laws of reality. There is NOTHING that could make the moon comfortable to us humans.
ОтветитьPeople with this signnificant of a speech impediment, are not worth listening to.
ОтветитьThe moon needs an atmosphere created before any form of terraforming can happen. Otherwise, living on the moon is pointless..
ОтветитьPlay a video game series called lunar.
ОтветитьSub terrain city would be a better option
ОтветитьAerogel could be uswd to coat domes to protect from radiation
ОтветитьI’m struggling to understand the narrator’s voice
ОтветитьBad idea tho
ОтветитьHow to deal with asteroid strikes, though? The Moon gets some fairly violent ones
ОтветитьNO, it would be pointless anyways, we need to keep destroying Earth's atmosphere. Then go to a new planet and destroy that atmosphere
ОтветитьA tidally locked stagnant ocean doesnt sound fun. Mosquitoes the size of trucks.
ОтветитьLets just continue work on Titan.
