In my opinion... the moon should be converted into a shell world rather than terraformed. The moon's gravity is not enough to hold a thick atmosphere.

To be honest here they are now talking about colonization on the moon Titan and since we have 293 moons in are own solar system I believe it be more logical to find out which are habitable for human beings to live on and which are not

I think it would be a huge waste to speed up the moon day/night cycle. Having a month long day could give you a benefit for agriculture, assuming you were doing some of that up there to begin with. I would think such considerations should be applied any body you want to terraform. We don't really need a 24 hour day/night, sure it's what we're used to, but that doesn't automatically make it a benefit or better than what ever natural day/night cycle had.

Changing the homo sapiens to adapt to exoplanets would be very dangerous. The same way any former colony in the americas would have no problems declaring war against their old coutries, those new "humans" would become a potential treat to humanity.

Of course you can, but Moon(Lunar) and other moons such as Ganymede are belongs to Andromeda council and your galactic neighbors who had build Moon.

They had many bases in the Sol system, your Moon terraforming process would be discussed by those members if you're seriously to do so.

I would expect health effects of low gravity to be largely solved by mid-century through silencing our sedentary genes. This would be an element of life extension efforts. I expect low gravity to become very popular (though whether Lunar or Martian is preferred, I don't know).

Wouldn't an easier (and cheaper) answer to creating a magnetosphere be to incorporate D-sup into the nucleosomes of the chromatin structure of human cells? It's already been accomplished in real life.

We are far more likely to colonize the moon, before Mars. Economy can be exchanged almost instantly between earth and moon. If you mind the 3 second pause between messages, then you're not truly isolated or require full independence of resources from earth. The only problem is the tidal locking of the moon, which means 28 day cycles, so solar power isn't really feasible, unless there are number of solar collectors that fill their batteries to be transported back via to a moon base and transport used batteries to be recharged via these solar collectors from other locations. But to do that it might be wise to have the moon base located closer to the north or south pole of the moon.

Why would we change the dark mystic about the moon it's waxing and waning and its deep mystery. Sometimes we need to just leave things as they are...we don't need to muck up the natural order of our precious moon.

Can you do an analysis of how one would relocate Mars to the moon's current orbit and push the moon to orbit Venus and what the potential consequences of all these would be...

No you can't, just like mars the gravity is too low, so humans can't live there, and the atmosphere is too thin. Stick to Venus it is almost the same size and has an atmosphere and it is closer to earth than Mars. Mining the moon is the worst idea, if you take away the mass of the moon you will mess up the tides of the seas.

> The Earth has 1M times the rotational energy of the Moon
> The Moon only need 1000x its current rotational energy to have a 24h day
Would the Moon be close enough to Earth to spin it up using the Earth's magnetic field, and harvest the energy to do so by making the Earth spin slightly slower?

There are some cases against terrafoming the moon as it will be used for mining and industry, which is important for space exploration. This mining and industry is less limited if there is no biosphere to destroy

Even not watching the video, it's IMPOSSIBLE to terraform the moon because it does not have enough gravity to hold on to an atmosphere. Science ISN'T some magic wand, it's still bound by the basic physical laws of reality. There is NOTHING that could make the moon comfortable to us humans.
