Google is hands down the single worst company to ever exist - and worst its never been good. Literally ever. As an elder millennial I've never understood why people ever used it. The search engine was never better then any other. Ever. It was just trendy? why do people have gmail accounts? do people not know how many free email providers exist?

This shite makes total sense. 10 years ago, a google search would get you all kinds of results. Now, it feels like it's more marketed then ever, aimed more towards websites with high ad revenue than actual relevant information.
Needed to know how to make a garden? Google'd point you to a forum post from a gardener. Maybe a website about gardening from some hobbyists. Nowadays? High-budget media telling you these "top ten secrets of a garden" like they're some ad you'd see on ⬛🟧. Gotten sick of that crap. You're better off reading a goddamn book about gardening from some guy in India than you are to do a google search.

I miss human curated search engines. You know, when you got pages of human results, and not:
