Germans had insane weapons tech but this is actually 1000% untrue on so many levels. You would never trust an enemy weapon except for emergencies. You trained for years w one gun you would never swap. also all machine guns overheat even today. In fact the US browning machine gun was less prone to overheating than the German MG42, but had a greatly less impressive fire rate

The Sherman was the best tank of WW2 for two reasons:
1) You could lift it onto a train/barge/ship with a crane
2) Because if it's modularity and standardized parts, it was quick to repair
Doesn't matter if the enemy has better armor or better guns, if you bring more tanks to the fight, you win by default

The fact that Germany was able to hold out for some time against the USSR and the United States alone is a great milestone that shows how well they were prepared for war, even though they thought they were better prepared because in the end they lost miserably, but hold the 2 strongest countries of the time while you still have other open fronts is impressive
