60 year old song, could have been written yesterday.
ОтветитьWho else is in the band besides Charlie Sexton?
ОтветитьThanks - so strong and powerful version
ОтветитьThere's almost always a Bob Dylan song apropos to celabrate and/or draw focus and meaning to many of the trials, triumphs, testaments and tribulations of life and the human condition as they weave through generations repeatedly. It is sad that the Ukraine/Russian conflict has brought Masters of War out, once again in my, thusfar, 66 years of life; and, yet I'm glad that new voices and needs may be galvinized- using it in the raising of awareness and activism in the continuing attempt to adress the devastating actualities of war. It serves as a now common footnote in the steps tracing the inability to deny the paths taken along the way to "witnessing" within the collective consciousness of "now." Another sounding in the depths of pondering, "How many times must a cannonball strike?- before they're forever banned." God Bless Bob Dylan for so many renewing words and songs to guide and give new voice to in the tasks adressed by these fine outspoken followers of the folk tradition. Bravo to Charlie Sexton & the band, too. "And know (your) song well, before (you) start singing..." K
ОтветитьMay this song one day become irrelevant. Until then, keep singing
ОтветитьThe other members of Kazka are still in Ukraine fighting the Russian invaders. Slava Ukraini!
