How many times can you use the same paper? Is it a one time use?
ОтветитьNice tip man!!! I like that! Thank's!
Ответитьits better to have a fresh print????
ОтветитьAwesome!! Thank you! I wonder if my curling iron would work.
Ответитьrep the Wings. good vid!
Ответитьcan we use an iron or a curling wand?
ОтветитьYou are the man. This method will make me look like a rock star!!
ОтветитьCan a clothes Iron be used instead? looking at the larger image, the pen would take ages compared to clothes Iron (if it works). Love your idea.. ive been bashing my head over how to do this economically since i want to start out with just playing around with ideas. This helped loads.
Ответитьis that a freemason shirt?
ОтветитьYesterday I did my first attempt. It turned out rather well. I only did a few numbers, not even reversed for this test, on a piece of wood which could probably be sanded more. I have a burning iron what I bought many years ago but I never used it.
Temperature goes to 500-550 degrees Celsius which is too much. And I forget to decrease the temperature you showed in the video. And last but not least: the branding iron did not come with a transferring tip. The widest tips were only 8 mm. It has 4 mm diameter threaded rod for mounting, so I'll try to find/make/buy a brass or copper tip with a larger surface.
But the method works great. Indeed THE way to go. Many thanks.
3+ years after you posted this, I found it (FINALLY!). This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for: an inexpensive alternative to branding!
Thanks for posting this!

I could watch videos of this type of craftsmanship all day.
ОтветитьCan this be done with heatgun?
ОтветитьHow would this work for branding stars on an American flag cutting board?
ОтветитьHmmmm. I just got a laser printer a few days ago, and now I'm seeing all sorts of projects that I hadn't seen before on here that make me glad that I have a laser printer now.
Ответитьawesome idea. if you could find a toner based printer or copier to use for free or cheep, such as a library . but if you had to buy it, in the long run it would be less cost effective .
ОтветитьThanks for the tip Jay, I just designed my Logo and was getting ready to buy a branding iron. You just saved me $250.00
ОтветитьWhats the name of the heater and where can I buy it?
ОтветитьHow would you recommend sealing the transfer on a cutting board? I was thinking of masking around the transfer then spraying with a sealer then oiling the board? Or should I oil first, then transfer and then spray sealant over after? So I don't have an area that doesn't get oiled. Thanks for all your videos! They help a lot!
ОтветитьI work for my dads copier company.. I don't know if I can get access to a laser printer :( lol
Ответитьthis is Genius!
ОтветитьI like it thanks man
ОтветитьTransfer of image is useful in carving as well, especially black and white with high contrast.
ОтветитьWoW Great idea!
ОтветитьProbably a silly question, but I don't remember hearing the type of paper used, whether it was regular copy paper or a transfer paper?
ОтветитьAmazing i was ready to buy a logo stamp. Thank you
ОтветитьWow! Incredible, thanks for doing this video!
ОтветитьMy concern would be how long would the image/ink last? Would be interested to see how that black would look on darker material.
Ответитьthat is cool but where do I get toner printings?
ОтветитьGreat tutorial! Just wondering if the transfer scratches off easily once transferred?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, I think it is the easiest way to to brand your name or logo on wood. Good Job. :)
ОтветитьGREAT Idea
ОтветитьWhere do you get the transfer head for the burner?
ОтветитьHow would this process hold up on pieces that are outside out in the elements?
ОтветитьSuper cool
ОтветитьHello. Is there any special paper that is recommended? Thanks
ОтветитьCould you use an iron?
ОтветитьDoes it make a difference if I apply this method before or after applying finish?
ОтветитьBut how many of you actually have (access to) a laser printer? They are seemingly few and far between for me...but ya, cool method nonetheless...
ОтветитьHave you ever tried using a clothes iron?
ОтветитьDoes this work with color?
Ответитьdoes all laser printers use toner?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьThis is a brilliant, great idea.
ОтветитьHow were you able to print mirror images from the laser printer? Was that available from your software? If so what did you use
ОтветитьGreat idea. Have a BW and Color Laser and it works for Color as well. Tried the clothes iron option but mine doesn't get hot enough (350 deg). The heat needs to be as hot as what a laser printer gets or hotter in order to properly xfer the printed content. The Weller units get upwards of 900 deg and therefore provide enough heat to soften the toner and xfer what is printed to the wood. Only other hurdle I need to get over is using this with stain.
ОтветитьThis is a great idea! Will try it tomorrow. Thank You!!
ОтветитьGREAT WORK!!! Just saw this video as recommended by BALES... very nicely explained!! Gonna give it a try tomorrow. Larry
ОтветитьQuestion.. can you use a clothes iron for larger transfers?
Ответить
