I love when the song has a deep meaning and becomes personal to me. As one of the users perfectly described this song: "What the lyrics mean to me is that the girl in the glowing makeup was the love of his life and he never expected her to break up with him. Her breaking up with him was the equivalent of it snowing in Mexico...unthinkable." And kinda the same happened to me. I was a castaway in school, but in 7th grade, while seeking to make friends, i have learned a lot about another class and i became best friends with a lot of people from that class, and i was shocked how they loved me despite how much of a jerk i was, but 1.5 years later they betrayed me (we had a chat in a social network which had almost all of those i loved the most from the class, and one day, suddenly all of them started quitting the chat, with one of them saying something like "this chat is now irrelevant" and i quit as well, but 3 years later i finally learned that they have set it all up and once i left, they all rejoined the chat, and irl they also became colder to me, like they wouldnt tell me to fuck off in the face, but tried to make it that way so i would decide to fuck off myself) and because i loved them so much, i couldnt believe that this was happening, cause my entire life i couldnt find somebody to love and when i eventually found people who i thought id be friends with until the end of my life, they still betrayed me, so this song, the way it was described by this user, perfectly matches my story too. Because also despite after the betrayal of my beloved class, i made good friends with another class (the 3rd one), i still couldnt comprehend the truth of what happened between me and my beloved class and couldnt move on and just forget them
