57th minute, our player runs toward goal but is blocked by NZ's captain who threw herself in front of our player very close to the goal. This calls for an 11m penalty. But the NZ captain faked a wrist problem after she was down and all attention was concentrated on her. The Referee, who was absolutely terrible anyway, fell for this subterfuge and ignored or did not understand what was actually happening. So, no 11m. Pathetic.

John, why is the editing of this video so tight? There isn't a second dedicated to showing the list of players, the walk-ins, close-ups of the fans, not even the name of the horrible referee. The fact that this game occurred in New Zealand only dawned on me after some playing time. But thanks anyway.

What can viewers do to express their frustration and disapproval of referees? Anything? This ref was one of the most incompetent ones I have seen in a long time. There is a consequence. As referees are becoming more permissive more people get hurt and often it is their lack of intervention that encourages teams like New Zealand, to get extra dirty. Who watches the watchers?
