The ps5 pro makes 1 game look better . That is not worth £700. Sony have not used the base ps5 this gen, we are still waiting for games. Buying a pro console to compensate for lazy devs is not good enough.

I have been enjoying the pro so far but it's more of a luxury item that's only worth it if you are looking for higher fidelity and less fps issues moving forwards. Had the console released with a new title that showcased it's potential I think more people would be considering it eventually. Time will tell whether the pro is a good investment or not once more games release...

I just came up with the best reason ok this guy just everyone say to themselves is there a difference between graphics in the latest Xbox and ps5 no there's not so do us as buyers really think there's a difference in the ps5 and pro i doubt it's not!

i have one and i love it you just gotta have a tv that supports the 120hrtz feature and you will defiantly see the difference visually.

MU ...what are you talking about, "PS5 Pro is a tough sell." Everyone that wanted one has one. Sony delivered. Job done. Additional sales are a bonus. You haven't even got one. You're just reading salty comments from people who are not the target audience or those who feel threatened by its power vs value. Every man and his dog seems to think they are the target audience for an elite product aimed at the hardcore enthusiast who can afford to pay extra for the very best console experience. I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster PS5 Pro on a Sony A95L and it is truly breath-taking. It's flawless.

You can do 120hz on base PS5 for God Of War: Ragnarok. It's runs at 1440p on the base PS5 in this mode. You just need to toggle "Unlocked Frame rate" in the settings option.

It’s a good console. For me personally it’s more for the performance reasons I got one. Every game on the pro runs super smooth and is noticeably more stable then base model. Even games that aren’t “pro enhanced” run much better like black myth wukong for example. I’m playing and loving metaphor refantazio right now and even that game shocked me at how much smoother it runs and how clean the graphics are, where base model looked like a pixelated mess

I have both and compared them next to each other and honestly I wasted my money, should have just saved some more and buy a laptop with a 4070 GPU. The pro provides 15-20 frames extra in best case scenarios and if the game is CPU bound youll see no difference. Digital foundry best summed it up, the price to performance isnt worth it. Be honest with yourselves

The problem here is that the price of the Pro kind of indicates that it is 2x better than the base PS5 model ... which, ofcourse, isnt.
The difference is probably around 30%. So people, or gamers, are wondering why they should lay $700 for an Pro model.
Sony kind of put themselfs in a predicament here ... they cant lower the price of the Pro, otherwise there would be no point to get the normal, base PS5. However, the price for the base PS5 isnt dropping either, infact it became $50 more expensive in the last year.
Also, one would expect, that with a "Pro" model, for that price you are paying, it would come with an disc drive, or an DualSense Edge controller, or something, anything, to make it feel like an "Pro" purchase. You even have to pay for a freaking stand ... c'mon on now, Sony. Its a mess. They should have waited for GTA6 or something and bundle it with the Pro.

To add my 2 cents/pence. I think a lot of streamers are misrepresenting the conversation. Stuff like ‘does it look better’, was never the point. It’s meant to look the SAME as base console fidelity mode, but with the benefit of the higher frame rate. So from my point of view, I think it succeeds in what it set out to do. I will add a caveat that personally I think a good 4k display with VRR is really important to get the max benefit. It’s not an essential purchase, but am happy with mine.

Of all people I expected to have the Pro by now it would be you.

You are advising a highly successful, multi-billion-dollar business with a vast customer base, and you're suggesting they should undervalue their business?

They are offering products that people are willing to pay for, and unless Sony faces competition, they have no reason to lower their prices.

It’s an easy sell. If you want to play your PS5 library with the best performance and visual quality it is a no brainer.

They are not using same GPU as it is RDNA3 based with RDNA 4 based RT and NPU for AI upscaling. I don’t know why you tubers try to down play the improvements of the hardware that don’t know anything about it.

People just want to bash on PS5 Pro for the price. People don’t like it and are trying to put out negative press to hopefully “show” Sony they are wrong and people won’t buy it and will wait for the “inevitable” price drop. The price is what it is, either you can afford it and want it or not. The PS5 is a capable machine but it’s not ever going to play games like the PRO and visuals will start to get better on the PRO and really separate itself as the generation goes on.

I recommend this machine to anyone that wants it. The difference is easily shown once you get it and start playing it. Don’t let the haters try to deter you with their “views” and “opinions”.

The price is what it is and won’t drop now or probably even before launch of PS6. Only thing I can see making Sony drop the price is if MS drops their next gen system in 2026 and it’s cheaper than the PRO. Other than that not happening

I have the 4K 120 Hz TV and I still don't think this console is worth picking up. Retailers are already discounting the Pro by up to £40 here in the UK. Not even a week after launch.

I would never give up the launch system. In my opinion it's made more quality.

I got the pro. I can't tell the fu*king difference. In hindsight I wouldn't have purchased it. It only cost me 400 since I got $350 for my original. I highly recommend against it if you already own one.. unless you got money to burn

There's a reason why the pro sold almost 13million consoles already. Its worth every penny for the price.

Higher specs and higher parts cost more - it is what it is bro- trust me brother - it’s worth the extra money- the people who’s bashing the ps5 pro don’t have it-experience it for yourself and you’ll see the difference like I did bro. Atleast the pro will settle u in until the next console come for me it’s go cause I never got the ps5 on release date cause knew Sony will drop a more enhance model so I waited
