The line, and idea, "life finds a way", was also used (and repeated several times) to good effect in the movie 'Jurassic Park' by Jeff Goldblum and Richard Attenborough. Underrated movie. Well worth a watch. Intriguing themes that play out thru the development of the storyline. Well acted and bravo for making the audience feel emotion for the robots in the film. That's not an easy thing to do, bringing life to machines in this way and make that translate thru the screen to the audience. Good flick.

I love Antonio Banderas...Thought he was a wonderful Zorro and as the Mariachi in Desperado but I can hardly understand him now....his accent is 10X thicker than it was when he was a young man....is the audio that bad or what is going on with his English?

Not my kind of movie. I preferred Casablanca or The Good The Bad And The Ugly or King of Masks.

It was good, well thought out and interesting. Another in the long line of Heinlein inspired movies with protocols for robots. "Forbidden Planet",
to "Lost in Space" to the history of Dune with its war against the thinking machines, Terminator, to a series that Seth Macfarland did, which I recommend. ...and "2001 a Space Odyssey" with a musical tribute during the credits at the end
There have been quite a number of them, and they are all well done, and it seems specifically relevant these days.

I bought this when it was first released on DVD. Very nice write. I like the concept.

What a show!!!

One of the truly fine science fiction movies made period. No insane traveling into the past, monsters from space or virus/zombie struggle.
If we develop true machine intelligence, not pattern recognition engines, this is the outcome one would expect if we treat them like 3rd class beings.
Antonio Banderas turns in a great performance as a weary, but ethical agent following his heart and standing up for the underdog.
