IS THE ENGINE VACUUM THAT THIS DIAGNOSTICS MEASURES REAL OR WHAT THE MAP MEASURES?
ОтветитьGood job
ОтветитьFirst time here, and I found this very interesting, for sure will be watching more of your guys!
ОтветитьMy new to watch channel❤, thank u guys.
If ATS scope one day make a floating ground version, even only a 6 channel one, i would love to have one.
The parts shooter would've won lol
ОтветитьAmazing content; keep it up
ОтветитьA big hello from the UK
I am really pleased to find this channel, its also nice to see the extended use of the ATS scan and scope, I have one but I know of nobody else local to me that does, Pico is big here which I also have, I love the power of the scope and how by using one makes you so much more sharper and knowledgeable, I am continuously learning thanks to using a scope and watching videos like yours.
keep up the great content I am looking forwards to many more from this vibrant new channel....
Btw: its nice to see and nice to see the ATS scope being shown as it was only Bernies videos that were exposing the power of it...
All the best guys
David (Sinclair Engineering)
Great video, thanks for sharing! May i ask which Dell laptop model do you have?
ОтветитьGood diagnosis
ОтветитьYou are best my man we here love you
Ответить👍👍👍👍🏻
ОтветитьHey guys love from Australia 🇦🇺
The reason why you guys saw 4.756v max at live data was because the engine might not be running
And when you guys checked on scope the engine was running and the alternator was pumping voltage a little bit that's why it went over 4.8v
That's my logic
Very helpful video - well done.
ОтветитьI had a dodge journey that set throttle body and accelerator pedal position codes. All wires checked out good to those items. The crankshaft sensor wires were shorted together causing those codes. I just used wiring schematics and volt meter to figure it out.
Ответитьgood DIAG. going to scope out my APP SENSOR like your team did and check my results. i have a aftermarket pedal enhancer on my jeep that goes into limp mode almost the same way. but mine is intermittent comes and goes. getting codes for APP SENSOR. thanks !
ОтветитьLove the invaluable data only a scope can give. Great catch guys
Would some of this data have been available in the freeze frame information?
Jobs backing up that need diag I would have hooked up the scope and tried the tap test, tug test, wiggle test and look for drop outs while working the throttle before I drove the car it may have speeded up the process I wonder if the waveform would have went high? great video
👍
question, how do u get the scope to stop when the code pops out? did u guys did it manually?
Ответитьu guys make it look so easy, but is not, lol, i know it is time consuming, but great job.
ОтветитьYou should have defined the trace color/function early so we could followed along more easily. But great video otherwise.
ОтветитьVery impressive troubleshooting guys. You nailed it and I like your thouroughness.
ОтветитьI seems that to work at Royalty you need to have a man bun. I see you and your son. Andy offsets this with the Michigan hat, Go Blue! I can comment because I am 35 years in and I might have a longer gray hair man bun than you. I love you content and how honest you are!
Ответитьgreat job with laying all the signals out guys! checks out that over 4.8V shows as an open or "high" to the computer.
ОтветитьAnother great video, and very very informative.! Thanks again...!
ОтветитьWhy not just look at the scanner live data and see the sensor voltage from there, which you could also graph, instead of going through the trouble of connecting a bunch of scope wires?
ОтветитьI’m sold on the ATS system. It’s true and continues to prove itself true; scope data is vital to success. Notice how even the manufacturer scantool software could not precisely pinpoint the fault with streamed data - a voltage overage. Well done fellas!! 👍👍
ОтветитьExcellent video!
ОтветитьVery good video thank you taking the time to do this.
ОтветитьAmazing inspiration you have done, I learned a lot from your videos. You are the best, watching your videos the from lebanon 👍🏼
ОтветитьQuestion Sherwood is Bernie Thompson your Automotive Test Solutions your service representative?
ОтветитьI’m just scratching the surface with Automotive diagnostics. This was very interesting to see. Thanks for the effort on this
ОтветитьWell good video on how to use the ATS scope. . But the disappointing thing is the Jack leg mechanic would have just thrown parts at it. Especially if they use the Mercedes part they would have fixed it
ОтветитьGood guess
ОтветитьNice work guys.
ОтветитьXentry data TOLD YOU the pedal was fckd, why bother with scope to prove it? waste of customers time and money sorry
ОтветитьGreat Job, Incredible how The Code could not be looked up.
Ответитьnot only the voltage is back in spec, but the waveform is more a square wave and before it was more like a slight ramp to it... great job!
would like to see more diagnostics with the scope.
Cool. Sensor two reads right in between the high and low specs with pedal fully depressed. Sensor one is just over max spec, but also fell right in between high and low specs when replaced. The code, the scope, and excellent reasoning all combined to form a diagnostic trifecta.
ОтветитьNice work guys thanks!!
Ответить@legitstreetcars
ОтветитьIs'nt it possible to do this test without driving the car? If you do it at idle?
ОтветитьGreat idea on the white board... throwing it on the dash to remember to reinstall engine covers.😊 I always see one or two covers in every shop I have worked in, that me or someone else forgot to install. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe sad thing is, you just proved that you can never have enough information available to diagnose vehicles and you need multiple types of scan/diagnostic equipment. I quit counting decades ago when I passed $100,000!😢 There needs to be a law that all manufacturers have to make available to alldata and mitchell all information so we can do our job without guessing.
ОтветитьAbsolute legendary work, guys, i got to take my hat off to you, for sticking with that incredibly difficult job, so glad you Nailed it, it gives confidence to all us rather lesser qualified techi's and average Mechanics, Much gratitude and love from the U.K 🙂
ОтветитьPlease give us more info on the scope you used. Does it only work on the ATS diagnostic scan tablet or would it also work on something like the higher end Topdon (Phoenix Plus) diagnostic scan tablet?
By the way, thanks for this legendary lesson. Love that you are teaching people how to do diagnostic work.
I just watched it again.
ОтветитьI thought "Pine Hollow Automotive" was the site to go to and you proved me wrong.
ОтветитьWhy wouldn't you be able to do this with a multi meter using min max? Is it not fast enough or something.
ОтветитьThats a really bizarre fault. Looks like a ground fault and connecting the scope ground to battery terminal would miss this type of fault. But you had 2 ground traces (blue and white) on screen? So I guess you checked this at the ecu end. Only the manufacturers information pointed to the real fault. Having 2 throttle sensors is classy engineering, no single point failure allowed a safe limp mode.
