Fixed oblivion launcher but still couldn't get any graphics mods to work.

I followed all instructions to a "T", but obse tester is still showing obse as not working correctly. I even tried running in compatibility mode for older operating systems... I dunno. please help

For anyone who had the same problem as me which was using Mod organizer in which the OBSE would keep stating "not working correctly." I highly suggest you try Wyre Bash, as I tried and upon using it the first time the OBSE worked correctly.

Totally off topic but I have to say this. I saw some dark souls games there and it made me happy, and Doki Doki Literature Club. Actually on topic comment, thank you so much for making this video, I just got Oblivion on my laptop after having it for over seven years on my Xbox 360 and I couldn't find a recent video till I found yours. do we mod it the same way if the game isnt from steam?

I do not understand alot of this, man I suck at this.

I can't even extract any files because of WinZip, it says I have to pay 8 dollars just to do that.

And I am unsure OBSE is working properly with steam, I can't even download the tester because of the previous sentence about WinZip.

do you want the unoffical patches below the dlc content from the game? im assuming the bottum things get loaded last and there for work first cuz they are loaded after? or hows that work

Out of all the videos and forms I have been on, none have even mentioned running steam as admin. I can't believe it was such an easy fix. I think I'll finally be able to play Oblivion again! Thanks.

Lol you made this waaay too complicated for new modder's to get a hang of. It's too much explaining and not a lot of showing. I recommend starting from the beginning as in show the process of downloading/moving files an things where they need to be instead of just telling where to put them. Cause a lot of zip this loader and data file that doesn't help anybody when they don't know what you're talking about.

I'm using mod manager, but obse won't show up in my game or in mod manager.

I will be so happy when MO2 gets a fix, because none of the dozens of fixes (including these) will allow OBSE to launch from within MO2. And I am not going back to OBMM, as I have recently migrated all my Bethesda games to MO2, and they all work flawlessly, except Oblivion. The good people over on GitHub seem to aware of the problem, I just hope a solution is coming soon ..... First World Problems.....

THANK YOU!!! I've been trying to find mod tutorials all over the place in the most recent ones I could find was from 2015 with outdated tech that I did not understand in the slightest. I use PC for all of my older games, otherwise I'm a console girl at heart. I'm completely out of my element.

I tried my best to follow your instructions, but all it got me was a blackscreen ingame and no ability to see what I was looking at. I hate to say it, but it seems like it just broke my game more than anything. Now, I don't know what to do. I just recently got into PC gaming and was hoping to figure this out alongside your tutorial to make an old game more enjoyable.

The OBSE is working when doing the test but i cannot load oblivion through exe or dll formats and it states when trying to load through exe to change setting in steam, i have done this but the message still shows... any ideas???
Im trying to run blockhead for the character overhaul however the ‘install blockhead’ is across characters faces, im guessing because i cannot load through OBSE that blockhead wont run
