does it not have an automatic stoker? And a strip of metal in the floor that the fireman steps on that opens the firebox doors?

South Africa has to import nearly all his crude. and Diesel is the last and least part that comes out from it. so it surprises me that not more steam is being used? coal SA has plenty, so why not use it in trains? because some people who sit in their aircon offices and have no or little idea about ANYTHING, it is so? it is a sad world indeed. greetings from Moscow...

Your loco is superb! When was it built originally and was it one of a number in same class?

Have you any stretch of distance where you could push this loco to its max eg as with our Tornado Pacific that has proved it can reach the ton (100mph) for a few moments…?
