How to tell if a katana is Fake

All metal is not fake but if you want true and not fake samurai you can buy it in veteran which a million dollar cause the method of steel is strong and thats it

Just looking at the oddly even hamon line would tell me, however if done correctly (though this one was not) a weld can be as strong if not stronger than forged steel.

All joking aside the if the hamon line is in a neat and uniform wave pattern the blade is most likely fake. Plus is the blade rattles in the sheath or handle it is definitely fake.

All Katanas made outside of Japan are technically fake, although many of these are real swords and some are not.

break the bolt temper the blade and punch holes in it

I had my replica nichirin sword welded into full tang and just made the parts but the wraping is hassle

I bought a katana just like that, ended up braking the handle, blunting and wrapping part of the blade on lather to make a "real handle?" Now it works just fine but it lost like two palms of reach and looks like a prision weapon, still works better than a fake handle

Well general of it cost $26 for a Katana it's fake
or if it comes with 3 Blade a stand and it cost $45 to $60 it's cheap fake stuff for decorating the game room. But don't ever swing them at any one or you can get what they call a Flying Guillotine when the weld break and the blade is air born.

bro i also unfortunately have fake Katana, same design as yours here. Thing is mine has some sort of epoxy\glue holding the metal cap onto the handle.. any idea on how to remove it without having to damage the metal cap or the handle? or am i just gonna have to forcefully do it?
