I guess you can take the Moskva off the list. Poor innocent crew being sent to war on a ship that barely worked. They should have never been there.

This is incredible work, I've never seen some of these models before. Working on a Buyan-M and this is very inspiring!

Great upload- thank you !! Question for ya: do you know of any photo etch in 1:700th scale, for WWII Soviet vessels ?
I have found only a few such sets- made by Triumph Models- WWII Soviet railings & another set of doors. Niko makes a few small AA guns as well; they're resin sets.
Other than that ? I'm stumped...
I have 3 Soviet WWII vessels to be built in my stash.
TASHKENT, CHERVONA UKRAINA & PARIZKAYA COMMUNNA.
I want to do them justice with aftermarket upgrade parts.
I have even written several model companies about a generic set of fittings for WWII Soviet vessels, with no luck so far.
Anchors, chains, davits, stairways/ladders, various radar sets, small AA guns.... Rich at Tom's Model Works agrees that it's a good idea- but he is inundated with projects at present.
Any help here would surely be appreciated!!
🚬😎👍
Btw- do you own the new-ish 3 volume set of the Soviet Naval Fleet ?
I got mine from US Naval Press. They're pretty much the best thing out there on the subject- impressive with a ton of accurate outboard line drawings. Completely worth the price to have all three volumes !!
