Just because 'society' accepts your personality doesn't mean it's who you truly are or are ready to grow who you are. So many woman mask their ADHD and autism to have a personality accepted by society. So many men mask their emotions and it comes out as anger so they are acceptable to society. When Yung says you wouldn't have been able to develop or accept these other potential parts of your personality because you weren't fully developed is such bs. The personality that society accepts forces men and woman to NOT develop those parts of themselves because then they aren't ladylike or they're a pussy and need to man up. But there is actually a serious underlying issue such as PCOS or Endometriosis or even cervical cancer.

I'm too stupid to understand this

Hi, I have questions plz answer. So my animus majority of the time is unconscious. Like dead knocked out, and at time when he is awake, I am always pretending him cause he is so weak and frail. So I do sleep walk alot and whenever I sleepwalk, people tell me im a complete opposite than when I’m awake. And I have texted awhile sleepwalked ran and did homework as if I am awake. I don’t act like I sleep walk but look awake but I am not. For example let’s use the name Kylie. I even told people awhile I’m sleepwalking that Kylie is asleep. And I am her but I am not her. What does that mean? Can you tell me what’s going on in my unconscious mind and do I have double personalities when I’m asleep? Because I for sure don’t when I’m awake

In general I find this an outdated principle. Men with female qualities is not considered by society “weak” any longer. It’s a balance. A woman possessed by animus (or male energy and emotions) is generally a product of her upbringing (raised like a boy, male figure pushes their agenda to succeed upon her) &/or that she has had to develop this animus position to be heard and recognised in an alpha male dominated industry in which she operates. Both of which I have experienced. Unfortunately, for the woman, emulating the male is not successful and at times truly painful. It’s a fictional cloak that we wear (or more like a cross that we bear) and eventually we need to take it off to express our truest nature. Then when we learn that the female way can also be strong and dynamic without a falsehood, can we truly come to a place of peace. And where there are animus qualities which serve us then we can choose to emulate /express them.
