It wasn’t a huge deal but I solo healed the second boss of vault of arch in a 10 man. I didn’t know until we cleared it when the raid leader and another member messaged me and sent me some gold because they were impressed no one in the raid died. There was a shaman that was supposed to heal but he was enhance. I did notice I was low on mana and I was having to heal every member of the raid but it felt so standard to me. Made me loving healing so much

I was lucky to be part of a fantastic guild in wrath, I got valanyr as holy during ulduar and shadowmourne as ret during icc, what id give to relive those days, we had so much fun

I made a filthy filthy Ret pally. Just hit outland. Usually play warrior on retail. a lot of fun smiting the undead and heretics.

Lol, I mained ret in vanilla wrath and i basically did have my entire rotation macro'd to one button.

too bad ret won't get 100% holy divine storm in the prepatch like we had in the orig prepatch. it melted anything on contact.

It's lowkey kinda frustrating that they can heal so well. Wtf is the point of a disc/holy priest or resto druids or shamans.

Motherfuckers can wear plate too, I get being really good tanks and dps but being a main healer is just asinine and a slap in the face. Holy should be more aligned with utility than healing imo.

Can save you some time. Yes pally is good. Pally is nuts. All three specs will top the charts for corresponding roles

Why I am sure they will do great, I am not impressed with the complexity of game play.
At level 43 my buttons are Taunt, auto attack, judgement.
After the fight, flash heal and do it again. And I don't even have to use the Taunt. I could just auto attack, and wait for the 8 second cooldown on Judgement...
I'm sure it gets a little more complicated at higher levels, but I am falling asleep here.

Actually saw Cdew play the pregnant pala spec with notmes in 2s last night. When it was working, it REALLY seemed good. And kind of more involved than a regular "pure" healing spec I guess. And whilst listening to stream, I for sure thought it was crag or crab pala, but oh well :P

Pally best tank depended on patch, trough Ulduar DK's were better, before Ulduar DK's were heavily avoidance based and although it might looked good, it was crap, very rng dependent, around the beginning of Ulduar, blizz changed things, and DK's become awesome, vezax for example were the only tank that could keep the boss in place, all around trough Ulduar DK's were the best tank, after I stopped playing so can't really be sure, but think they were nerfed, I come back to ICC and pallys were ahead

Watching this as a 10-year-long WotLK pala main, I must say I am impressed you got so many things right! All I can add is replace Glyph of Exorcism for Glyph of Consecration for PvE after 2T10 and know that you are capable of doing great damage (though not the best), but it's gonna cost you your hands and wrists. Don't expect to reach full dps potential if you are just lazily pressing buttons as they come off cooldown (especially after 2T10, which truly is a gamechanger).

The joke is many of ret pally players nowadays crying of wanting to get a buffs because how ignorant they are of how broken they will be after this. Ret Pala is one of the most broken and killer of many other specs in WoTLK and they asking for a buffs....... WTF?

Yes it was. Retri was solid pvp class, and solid pve class in ICC. Holy was the best healer in pvp and probably pve and prot was the best and easiest tank.

I still remember when Divine Storm was first released at the end of BC... it was holy damage. Made it soooo OP in PVP lol

I was a blood elf Ret paladin back in the day and I loved it. Honestly I wasn’t even good at the game, I just loved the insane amount of damage one could deal.

I avoided the easy spam classes (DK, Palau) during Wotlk retail but I think I will got pala for wotlk classic

with hindsight, Ret is a slow burn in Wrath. It'll become great in ICC, but until then it kind of lags behind.
probably better than before wrath for sure, but not OP off the bat

Ahw, yes. The time when the rest of my raid wiped to LK and my prot paladin battled him alone for like multiple minutes and killed him. Could even tank heroic dungeons without a healer after I got my T10. Fair and balanced, as the paladin class should be.

Ret with Seal of Blood in early Wrath was so much fun. Those outrageous Judgement oneshots in BGs made my days.
