The problem with the Dreamcast from SEGA was that the games were easily copied.
They lost money on the sale of each console, and then lost money again to pirating.
At that time SEGA was already struggling.
So their security oversight cost them the race with Nintendo.

Don't get me wrong n64 and game cube were superior products to their competitors but as teens and young adults we were drawn to the other platforms because they had games more geared towards us while Nintendo seemed to keep their focus on little kids and their popular characters

Sony Playstation has always been superior to nintendo, and it hasn't changed. Whatever nintendo do, sony just does so much better

nintendo messed up with sony... the greed showed and opened the doors of competition. the 64 was the start of boring recycling children's games.
Nintendo games are so uninspired and feel like they are predeveloped with Nintendo characters in it, or sad remakes with some new maps or characters added.
people dont seem to care Nintendo makes bank.

Very surprised the N64 and NDS wasn't mentioned. Nintendo has always been all about innovation. NDS gave us touch screen controls in gaming. 64 gave us 4 player gaming at home.
