I think the Vindicator is actually quite solid outside of its fairly weak dedication feat. It synergizes really well with domain focus spells that it can grab as additional feats and with a Cleric or Animist multiclass once you can. Additionally, it gets a number of improvements to recall knowledge to make it a very effective monster hunter user.
ОтветитьHey slowhost again, just wanna say thanks for another wonderful video. I had the opposite reaction to the playtest where I loved exemplar but wasn't to jazzed with animist, from what I've seen of the book it appears both classes turned out awesome.
ОтветитьHey there! I enjoy your videos, and even went out of my way to check out that book you recommended as well! There's some cool class options in there, but since my group and I use an app for character building, we can't stray too far from the rules lol 😅
ОтветитьI have NO actual information on this, but here's my Educated Guess on the lack of new Divine spells in War of Immortals. "Divine Mysteries" is being released in November, so ~1 month later.
I'm guessing Paizo wanted to focus on All Things Mythic/A New Set Of Rules in THIS book. Because while it is about gods, it seems to MOSTLY be about Mythic Rules, not Standard Divine Stuff.
Also: I've enjoyed your videos and have your Pathbuilder video queued up to watch while I eat dinner. Well done!
Love the video, love the channel, keep up the good work.
Regarding the Kineticist, similar issues came up during the Cry for Battle playtest. The dev team response was that this something that needs to be fixed, but that the fix needed to be in a Rage of the Elements errata. The community consensus seems to be that the 1A Elemental Blast is a Strike, 2A EB is a Strike-containing Activity (like Vicious Swings), and Impulses are Spells.
As for the divine spells, I think it really is just a page count issue, as disappointing an answer as that may be. Two new classes, plus 5 class Archetypes, plus everything mythic? Frankly I'm amazed they got everything in. Divine Mysteries will hopefully cover that gap, especially considering it's reported size.
this is the first book i will not allow within any game i run. the only good thing is i can use this to make a birthright version
ОтветитьWe have similar ideas on what we like. Good video!
ОтветитьQuick correction, divine list is not weak. It WAS weak when the game came out but nowadays, with all the new spells it got, it's actually quite strong (second strongest imo). Still, i get the frustration on not having new divine spells
ОтветитьRegarding Bloodrager: If the whole blood thing isn't your cup of tea, just do what I intend to do, flavor it as absorbing a creature's spirit instead.
Ответитьthe Divine Mysteries coming next month is the one that is the divine version of the 3 books mentioned. It will have new information about gods, domains, spells ect
ОтветитьI'm surprised you haven't mentioned the mythic monsters and mythic templates at all. I think they're the weakest part of the book, with Mythic Resilience messing only with casters while martials can simply ignore the mythic resistance and immunity of the enemies.
I like the book. The Mythic destinies for players are quite amazing and I have a positive opinion about every class archetype except the warrior of legend. But the mythic monsters section of the book is very disappointing for me as a GM.
Divine Mysteries book coming November, that'll be where the spells are at.
ОтветитьI was considering whether to buy it or not. This gave me all the information I needed!
