Skyrim Mods: Ambriel - The Lost Princess - Part 1

I like that Jeannie is the voice actress.
But the spelling and writing is pretty sus. Like dismissing Deadra as forces of Evil when many of them are more just Fair Folk effing around. Molag Bal WANTS to enslave the world. But not every Deadra is Molag Bal.
Most of them are actually pretty content where they are except perhaps Melruns Dagon who honestly would probably get bored if he had conquered Tamriel during the Oblivion Crisis since he's an agent of shifting establishment. Sure they do evil things, but they aren't like the Sith Lawful Evil must dominate the universe thing. The Aldmeri kinda work better but even then they aren't trying to weaken Talos out of a nebulous motive of evil their doing it out of pride and a belief in racial supremacy. They do depraved things, but they do not view themselves as championing evil forces. They see themselves as the Good Guys at least of their own story. Their motives are really pretty mundane even if they seek to exploit metaphysical stuff to achieve those motives. It's more a mundane evil that real world civilizations are capable of like the Nazis than a "force" of evil like Satan or The Dark Side.
Also Talos just straight up interfering directly when one of the cornerstones of the lore is that it's the Deadra that act directly and the Aedra that act through the World. Is kinda sus. Also Ambriel's meter decaying based on weather makes me wonder if say...a dedicated Campfire and Frostfall user wouldn't be kinda fucked. Also Overlord isn't the right title.

GOD, this rep. system is shit.

I played through part of this mod but I found the speech pattern of the main voice actress to be a bit odd. It's very stop/start fast/slow. She plays the part well and her annunciation is clear and smooth. There's just something to the pattern that I found quite irritating so I removed the mod and watching your video hasn't convinced me I did the wrong thing.

Personally, I would not be so quick to say I'm immortal, 500 years old and I'm part of a prophecy, it sounds like the information that should be earned through mutual trust and faith, but her personality suggests she is socially awkward and nervous in a way. Kinda conflicting vibes. As first impressions go she has not given us a reason to care about her or this prophecy. It doesn't have that "oh shiet" feel, but more of that awkward feeling followed by a slow "Okay...why are you telling me this?"
I mean no offence, I'm certain the rest of what to see is fantabulous, just introductions can make or break a story, novelists know all about it.

Shame, I like Ambriel herself but woo boy, the story felt all over the place and now she's stuck being angry at my character. I could take the corny Star Wars references but I lost interest the moment they said she was Dragonborn.

Ok so wtf, when I should up there was a massive fight and it told me to kill everyone, before that whole speech even happened, after that speech I didn't hear direct talking to with not vader nor did I get a teleport to any further quests, wtf?

Since tamreil is a empire, she would be the grand duchess, not a princess

I've ran through this mod several times, and the only thing I didn't like was that she would fight with Serana, frequently. Thankfully I ran through as an an Imperial, and have the "Voice of the Emperor" to stop them.

Its just my imagination or did i saw Darth Vader communicating with hes stormtroopers at the beginnig ?😀

I always find it lowkey kind of hilarious that a lot of mods kind of downplay how batshit powerful the dragonborn is

That means Tiber Septim is her great-great-great-great-great-uncle.

For all her glitchiness she's got some cool features. I like that when you assign her a home you can tell her she doesn't always have to stay at home in which case she wanders and explores Skyrim on her own and you can be out questing with some other follower and just randomly bump into Ambriel like "Oh hey, look who's out and about." and that's so cool it's like global sandboxing. That and the fact that unlike Mirai who just summons dragons, Ambriel actually turns into one which is way cooler.

Yeah, you have to employ careful use of console commands to get through all her quests but once you do it's totally worth it in my opinion.

This mod is honestly pretty bad, the writing and coding are not good. But one good thing I have to say about it is that the voice acting was stellar. It's very good for a "mod" standards.
A bit too ambitious I guess. Would be better if the VA worked on something more simple.
