Im let you know i have a ps5 dev kit and it was more expensive than ps5 pro it was totally worth it. When there was randoms popping up i got 1 its really solid system and the options are incredible there is ray tracing and motion blur even a experimental res enhancers. And it includes 7TB of storage more then the pro

If your watching this reading all the comments of everyone putting your confidence down to buy it here is your confidence back. Even if you dont have the perfect monitor or tv to take advantage of every peice of tech the ps5 and ps5 pro offers it is still an upgrade from your current console. You dont need oled qled vrr whatever. As long as you have hdmi 2.1 its an upgrade from your ps4, ps4 pro and ps5. If you can take advantage of all of it thats awesome. I recommend atleast 120hz 4k but it has a 1440p option also. I love it. Screw the disk drive. I havent owned a disk drive on my pc or my console in years and i still have all my games from ps4 up until now. In fact i get them cheaper alot of times because of discounts in the ps store. Go digital. Buy that ps5 pro if you really want it. Make yourself or someone happy

In my own opinion ... The First model of the PS5 is better than the PS5 slim and pro , all the Improvements in the slim version and the pro version can be made as an update to the PS5 very simple without any upgrade the platform to another version, but I blame Sony USA for that they have done that along the years

During the scalping era when ps5’s were going for $1k-1.5k. Due to the limited availability for such a long time. Before anyone could really get one Sony had already announced they were releasing the Ps5 pro in like 2-3 years alongside a slim version. Then i made my mind up not to buy a normal ps5.

My friend bought a normal ps5 brand new for like $650 when they went back down to RRP and were available everywhere. For an extra $100 im getting something with double the memory storage and about 25-60% faster, and can reach 120hz. Thats when a ps5 pro is worth it.

For a lot of people who have ps5s now you just didnt wait out and list for the news. So far about 11 games have been ps5 releases. This entire time it’s not worth getting a ps5. However in about 12 months from now gta6 is being released. Thats when its worth it

Got the LG oled 65ich before the base ps5 . Runs perfectly together. Slap the setting to quality and still 4k60 . Want more fps ? Plug her into a old 1080p or 1440p . Always go pc for eye candy tho . The current line up of game still don't even fully push the base anyway 😂 not like ps4 days where some did reach the machines limit

Heard some open world games play quite a bit worse on the pro because they upgraded the GPU without upgrading the CPU and it’s using a slower reading SSD than the base ps5. Do not buy this thing. Get a base ps5 and wait for ps6.

They should have included the vertical stand at the very least not that you need it. There's no ventilation occurring under the unit and it's just for stability but in my current setup it's placed in a spot where it won't get bumped.

I am happy that PlayStation have taken a path like Apple. PS6 is about 3 years away. So I wait for that. The price for PS6 might be 1499 dollars

I was playing on a ps4 for ever and wanted a ps5 but I couldn’t get my self to pay $500 for a console that’s been out forever so I bought a ps5 pro at launch and I don’t think it’s worth it right now but when new games come out like GTA 6 I think it will be worth it in the end

Lets be real here. Its a video game. Your minds eye is not stopping and hyperanalyzing these minute differences (graphically at least) while you are interacting with the game. Ps4 to pro was at least a 4k upgrade but this i dont even know what it is. If you already had 4k hdr vrr 120hz why would you justify 700 bucks?

I bought one Today. Its definitely a noticeable difference with the visuals and smoothness even on the main screen but I agree with most people that the price is steep as hell for a console without a disc drive. Also its boxed so poorly compared to the original. I was a bit disappointed but hey I was warned. At least my games will be a bit prettier.

They should have kept the price 550$ including vertical stand, disk drive and new astrobot game..then it would have been better and worth spending the money

I am perfectly content with my PS5 since that system is basically the last mainline console along with the Series X to be fully physical instead of having to pay extra for a damn disc drive

I'm concerned about buying a vertical stand for my PS5 Pro as that seems to be where the heat escapes, so wont installing the stand restrict this airflow?

Your math ain't mathing. If you have a PS5 it's NOT a $200 "upgrade" it's $699 plus taxes. Not including the stand - which you don't need and the Cd Drive.

If I take the disc drive off my slim PS5 to use on my pro will the panel from the pro work on the PS5 slim to cover up the spot were the disc drive was?

Is the POS 5 still as hot as an oven and does that POS 5 controller still get hot when you game on it? I ain't trying to sweat my balls off just to play video games. That's just ridiculous.
