Just came back from GRE, I had hardly prepared for it but watched this video and another one from your channel, it gave me a 7 marks jump, form 155(the free gre official mock test) to 162 in the GRE in one day.
ОтветитьHelps a lot, thanks a ton
ОтветитьThe word "didactic" really confuses me. Is it a good word or a bad word?
ОтветитьThank you sir
ОтветитьGood technique to remember meaning of pusillanimous, xd!
ОтветитьThanks so much. I have been building my vocabulary bank and learning to write. But I am not clear how to use the words in my memory to write and speak. So I think maybe I could start with some frequently used words, both academic or colloquial, in my writing or speaking. Is it a effective way to really master words. Could you give me some suggestions?
ОтветитьPusillanimous.....they are a bit of a mmmmm 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьIf you only have 1 day to study which one of his videos do yall recommend for quant?
ОтветитьI also just came back from the GRE test (first time, initial points verbal 160). I prepared for it the last two days, and I listened to this video twice (also I watched gregmat´s essay organization and reading techniques). Even if these words would have not been in the test, knowing them helps to use the elimination technique and deduce other words by their root. Biggest tip I have to give to all of you who are like me don´t really study for various possible reasons, at least check out instructions HOW to read GRE sentences! They are tricky, and you need to be quick to understand if the correct word is supporting or contradicting or positive/negative. By knowing whether you are searching for a negative or a positive word everything gets so much easier. Even if your time runs out, at least guess! you might get a lucky point when otherwise the question would be left unanswered. Good luck everyone!
ОтветитьIngenuous means innocent/naive while ingenuity means clever/original
ОтветитьAbout Pussillanimous I knew beforehand what would be your trick to remember and you said the same .😊

ОтветитьIt was and super helpful. Thanks so much
ОтветитьI don't think I'll ever forget "pusillanimous" after that remark LOL

ОтветитьUnique representation of ideation in GRE vocabulary
Ответитьphillip do u still recommend this list for the new GRE??
ОтветитьLaconic - whereas my mom is garrulous and talks way too much, my dad is quite the opposite and very laconic 😅
Insipid - at the peruvian restaurant, my dish was so flavorful and tasty that when i tried my hubbys steamed veggie plate, it was so insipid in comparison😂
Arduous - getting my dental degree and my master's at the same time was truly arduous. What was i thinking😅.
Profligate - i dont think I'd be good at having my own business, im a profligate spender and would waste a ton of money in cute little things for the office 😂 we need someone that is frugal instead 😅
Prosaic - dont think of studying for the gre as a prosaic task! Make it insteresting and exiciting by figuring out spicy mnemonics that apply to your personal life
