Separate Pedestrian and bicycle bridge from the beach/shops area

How about a two level bridge with pederstrians and cyclists on a separate level?

Personally, I'd have golf buggies only on the island to keep the roads to a small and minimal pathway and the have a passenger ferry going between the mainland and island so it stays as an island not an extension of the city.1

Hey, look it is the "Seven MILS Bridge", linking Miami Beach to Key West! North of it, you can find the high rises of Miami. Then, further north, there is Orlando, home to the Disney amusement park. 🤣

The bridge railings are very short,you know over 200 minfigs die a year from falling off of bridges.

I like that bridge concept, back home we call that a Trestle as it lacks upper framework, rather is a road on stilts so to speak.

Everyone I know you want different things but just give Bricksie time let him do what he wants then see the results and he can always change it down the line it’s Lego nothings permanent just leave him be. I love the passion but he can change it down the line if he wants to let him cook. Sorry not being rude but I just think people are being a bit harsh about a Lego island. 😊

have you considered creating sand dunes with saw grass to separate the beach from the road? That is how most NC beaches look.

One suggestion, I’d move the turn from the zoo to the diner over one baseplate. Make it a three way intersection. Cars can drive straight from turnaround into the diner or turn right towards harbor. The way you have it now, cars have to make two quick, turns to get into diner parking lot

I like the idea of places on the island having more island vibes: beaches, parks, small houses, restaurants. No need for industrial buildings, the bowling alley and the like on the island. Maybe, you could get a single boutique hotel modular or some other hotel mix to put on the island. It can be a sister hotel to your doubled up version. Perfect for a staycation or out of town visitors. The island should be a fun place to go.

When I first heard of your idea of an island a couple of videos ago, my immediate thought was tropical island, with beaches and lots of green areas, thats why i suggested to implement a bit of a "Lost" story lol. i assumed tropical island, but lots of island have a whole city structures, like NYC, have i known that was the style you were going for, i would have not gotten excited about a tropical island. That was my fault. It would have been cool, but i do see where you are going with this. Enjoy the process bricksie. It would be epic.

You should make the side with the ferris wheel and the bigger spot of water a down town area and the otherside a park and walking area.

Massive missed opportunity to do so much with this new expansion. I started to agree with a lot of the comments I was hoping for something new. At the end of the day, it’s your city but to save some room. A lot of comments from your previous videos have said small roads. Another comment was saying the bridge can just go into a parking lot, your civilians can walk around. What I would’ve done if I went with your interpretation, would be have your trains go onto the island and your mini figs just walk around you could’ve done more elevation move the beach from the back to the front. Honestly, so many ideas like a Pirates of the Caribbean battle or something.

I think the bike lane staying vs a sidewalk is a much better option. It offers more continuity to your city especially since you’re going to have bike lanes on the island

Was i.wishi g for.something different like Jurassic Park or moving Jurango City. I understand you have little space in Downtown core and more importantly it's your build so you do you. I do like suggestion of having cliffs with beach houses etc. It cracks me up how many comments have We Need to do this We need to do that. When are they there building? Haha. Just have FUN in whatever you.decide to do.

That island expansion would be perfect for an entertainment district. Beachfront hotel, sports stadium, casino, a cool pier/boardwalk with bars and restaurants. You can also tie in some carnival aspect with the Ferris wheel at the end of the pier with some other rides and touristy attractions.

This would be a more destination/luxury downtown addition. Casinos and hotels make sense to be near cliff edges, not so much a random bookstore or bowling alley.

Probably too late to add a Canal running through the island, with short bridges crossing it, Italian Canal canoes or fishermen filling it.

I actually was thinking it would be super cool to modify the bridge from Spider-Man Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle set and use it in the City as sort of diorama for same dynamic super-hero action on the bridge

I think that the new territory should be done in the northern style. The mountains are tunnels. There are many Arctic kits. plus, a new train can run there.

Would be cool if you mix the bridge up with that one Spider-man bridge zet to make it look like that bridge.

I think the whole island could be a shipping wharf. Just beach on original Lego city then huge ships and cranes loading and unloading shipping containers with semi trucks and heavy moving equipment.
