What happened if it's on bloody tight????
ОтветитьUse a pair of pliers to grip the old coupler, and use some major muscle power
ОтветитьThis method makes so much more sense than hammering away with a screwdriver. Thanks
Ответитьbest method I've seen thus far! But it makes me wander if this kind of damage happens a lot? Ive had crappy, cheap blenders and none would get this kind of damage so I was quite surprised when I experienced this.
ОтветитьDoes anybody know what size spanner ? Don't want to grind down the wrong one .
ОтветитьThank you for the video. I just ordered in your shop. There is a kit with the spanner as well.
ОтветитьThanks to you I could repair my blender and Amazon for selling the part I needed. Merci beaucoup!
ОтветитьExcellent, concise video. Very helpful! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьWhere can I get one of those spanners ? ?
ОтветитьExcellent. My blender is happy now. I needed a pair of pliers for extra leverage, but the old coupling came off, and now my blender is back in business. When ordering the coupler be sure to find a supplier that will pack the small, flat spanner/wrench with it (and maybe spring for a pair of couplers so you're ready for the next failure.
Ответитьwhy does the coupler not have a metallic core?
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. I had prided the clutch off in the pass. This tool made it so simple. Thanks.
ОтветитьWe just replaced ours and couldn't grip the coupler by hand and rotate the spanner. We didn't have a tool large enough to grip the coupler. However by prising the rubber off you are left with the aluminium bottom of the coupler which we could grip with pliers, thus enabling us to continue. Hope this helps if anyone finds the old coupler is stuck when they first come to remove it.
(We're on coupler number 3 now after a decade's heavy use - rest of the blender in great shape!)
Thank you very much.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. From Cyprus
ОтветитьThanks so much
ОтветитьThis tutorial and also the advice over the phone was brilliant. So helpful. Has saved me spending over £100 for a new blender, and resurrected my kitchen aid. Thank you!
ОтветитьObviously this coupler had previously been removed before the video as it came off too easy. I have the tool and a worn coupler but the coupler will not turn even after removing the rubber and using lock pliers and the tool isn't strong enough to keep the shaft from moving when using enough force to loosen the coupler. 😥 I even tried pouring boiling water over the shaft/coupler metal, with no luck. I guess I could try WD-40, but at this point, I'll probably get a big flat head screwdriver and just pry the thing off!!
ОтветитьSimple and to the point. Well done.
ОтветитьStraight to the point, no interminable intro. Just the info you need. Thank you.
ОтветитьThis fault should never occur on an item with this price tag. So many videos demonstrating the same fault. My Braun is still going strong and thankfully we kept it as a back-up.
ОтветитьVery simple to change
ОтветитьBrilliant and to the point. Thanks, mate!
ОтветитьWHAT I LEARNED!!!
First, I was turning it the wrong way and damaged my wrench, and it would no longer grab. Then after learning which way, I need to turn it, I removed all the black rubber and used a Dremel tool to grind down to and around the threaded coupling shaft to help loosen it up. I then used a very thin pair of wire strippers to reach under the coupling to grab the shaft. I couldn't squeeze hard enough to keep it from turning, so I placed a hose clamp on the handle and tightened it up. Off it came.
What size “spanna?”
Ответитьwhere do i get the spanner
Ответитьwhat size is the wrench please?
