You made three videos of the same thing, about this same tv, an unboxing, and the settings one wasnt after testing it but only after unboxing it. I wanna instead simply know what to set my LG G1 settings to while streaming Dolby Vision because the settings for it shift/change automatically when Dolby Vision is detected, and the recent updates have changed things, too. I'd like you to do a video about this video again on these topics and perhaps title it "LG G1 Settings 1-yr later" please, thank you.

Torn between the G1 to the LG QNED90. Seems the new micro led technology is fighting Oled hard and it's hard to decide.
Any advice from you side? Which whoud you go for (regardless of price)? 77" G1 or 75" QNED? I have big windows in my living room, and not sure if the G1 peak brightness is enough..

This TV looks superb and at last everything looks great, set on filmmaker mode and followed instructions for sdr and HDR for TV settings, the only issue I have is towards the end of deer hunter on 4k, the intended lengthy dark scene looks so much better here but the TV goes darker during the scene after a while, is this because the TV isn't detecting any light luminous? Or is it simply maybe because I need to turn on or off a feature setting on the TV? The TV comes back to life but only when I press the settings button on the remote? Any help please would be much appreciated thx

For a wall mounted screen the cable management is terrible on this unit. Getting it to seat flush to the wall using the oem bracket is somewhere near impossible given most modern hdmi cables are fairly bulky. Laughable power cable length for a wall mounted TV. It's not really worth the effort.

What do the "OLED Care" picture modes do? (Comfort, Theater, and Kids Care) they don't seem significantly different than the regular picture modes. Are they energy saving or something?

Got the 77 G1 for $2,900 after taxes. This will replace my 65" E7P that has lost color quality over time.

I have this tv and it is REALLY nice, especially if you mount it flush on the wall, it looks like a framed picture, it literally got wows from people who saw it for the first time. I bought the 65inch version.

I’ve just purchased a 55” G1. When playing FIFA 21 on PS5 I notice a lot of motion blur, and when I add the motion interpolation, it’s makes the picture incredibly dark so I can’t play it. Does anyone have any suggestion? Thanks

I'm wondering if you have seen or heard about distorted reflections on the LG G1.
I have a 65" LG G1 and noticed some ripples / dimples or simply wavy reflections on my panel mostly visible when the the TV is off.
The distortions do not seem to affect the image quality.
I see that the distortions could be caused by some flexing on the panel as it does not seem to be very rigid.
I contacted LG and they say it is normal.
I have seen similar comments on other forums but I still have not found a compelling answer.

Hi have you tried fast forwarding a 4K Blu-ray Disc using this tv? I tried it today and the image goes pixelated and distorted and doesn’t return to normal unless you exit out of the disc ?

My question is: Would you recommend this tv in case of having a huge window in your back? I saw the c1 and its front is very glossy. How glossy is this tv? Will I see many reflection in daylight?

The feet for the G1. Are they the same model as the GX? Or different. Can find listings for the GX but not the G1 stands.

I just wish OLEDS were not so reflective. I wanted to take the leap having been a plasma tv owner for many years and I've looked at the CX and C1 as well as the Samsung T series (A series not widely available so far). My biggest issue is reflections from the panel. Mine will be in an all white Kitchen diner with a lot of light coming in. My plasma suffers with reflections and I can imagine the LG's will be the same. The Samsungs seem have a more matte finish which would help in that department but then they just don't look as good (or have all the features like HDMI 2.1, Dolby Atmos, Freeview Play). Such a shame. Looks like i may wait another 12 months to see LG can make a TV which isn't so reflective...

Nice review buddy! I have ordered one last week. I’m unsure about the wall mount position. I actually have a wooden panel (19mm/0,75‘‘ thick) under the old tv and would like to attach the G1 on that panel with no gap. Would this work or affect the speakers? Greetings

Hi Vincent, regarding the menu you're showing throughout the video, the grey screen with orange letters and input. How do you enable that on the TV itself?

Showing the power usage from the wall is very helpful! Please do it in more reviews in the future.

Is there any drawback for using Boost Mode to reduce input lag?

If there isn't, why isn't boost mode a default. Instead you have to select it.
