"But Does It Swing?" // Jazz Drum Solo by DrummerMartijn

Although I'm officially graduated as a 'Jazz Drummer', it's not really a secret I've always felt more comfortable in a pop/rock/fusion context. Well, to finally get that out of the way, I've recorded an uptempo jazz drum solo for you! The first one in years...and damn, I had to work for it. Turns out - as I'm always telling my students - passive knowledge/vocabulary is really nice and stuff, but to have enough headroom to actually actively PERFORM that same vocabulary...well that's another cookie. Ongoing work in progress I guess. Nevertheless, I had fun (sometimes LOL). I hope you'll have too. Enjoy!
