I'd always hear this song and "Dodgy: Good Enough" playing on the radio in the shop I'd stop by, before and after senior school, during the last month or two before leaving in the summer of 1999, UK.
Absolutely loved these two songs.
I'll be honest -- this song never did it for me. I just didn't like the style of the beat and the nasalized sound of the lyrics. But enough about my taste in music -- the real tragedy here is how Paul Lawrence Fuemana's life was cut way too short at age 40 when he died in 2010.
I feel so bad for him -- he had a rough life.
RIP Paul -- this song was a classic that I unfortunately could not like. lol
May the angels lift you higher every day until all of heaven is an audience to your musical brilliance. Take care and continue to spread love and joy to all people within earshot of your amazing music!
When I'm playing baldurs gate 3 all I think is Balthazar...Balthazar

ОтветитьOoh baby! It's makin' me crazy!
(It's makin' me crazy!)
Every time I look around (look around)
Every time I look around
(every time I look around)
Every time I look around
it's in my face.
2024 ...is it me or is that bazaar???
ОтветитьBrother Pele's in the back
Sweet Zina's in the front
Cruisin' down the freeway in the hot, hot sun
Suddenly red-blue lights flash us from behind
Loud voice booming
"Please step out onto the line"
Pele preaches words of comfort
Zina just hides her eyes
Policeman taps his shades
"Is that a Chevy '69?"
How bizarre
How bizarre, how bizarre
Destination unknown as we pull in for some gas
A freshly pasted poster reveals a smile from the past
Elephants and acrobats, lions, snakes, monkey
Pele speaks "righteous, " Sister Zina says "funky"
How bizarre
How bizarre, how bizarre
Ooh, baby (ooh, baby)
It's making me crazy (it's making me crazy)
Every time I look around (look around)
Every time I look around (every time I look around)
Every time I look around
It's in my face
Ringmaster steps out, says "The elephants left town"
People jump and jive and the clowns have stuck around
TV news and cameras, there's choppers in the sky
Marines, police, reporters ask where, for and why
Pele yells, "We're outta here, " Zina says, "Right on"
Making moves and starting grooves before they knew we were gone
Jumped into the Chevy, headed for big lights
Wanna know the rest? Hey, buy the rights
How bizarre
How bizarre, how bizarre
Ooh, baby (ooh, baby)
It's making me crazy (it's making me crazy)
Every time I look around (look around)
Every time I look around (every time I look around)
Every time I look around
It's in my face
It's in my face
Ooh, baby (ooh, baby)
It's making me crazy (it's making me crazy)
Every time I look around (look around)
Every time I look around (every time I look around)
Every time I look around
It's in my face
Ooh, baby (ooh, baby)
It's making me crazy (it's making me crazy)
Every time I look around (look around)
Every time I look around (look around)
Every time I look around
It's in my face

ОтветитьThis song reminds me of "The parent trap" movie, where the "twins" are eating trouts with their father and stepmother.
