John Williams is the best !

You can’t compare John Williams and Hans Zimmer. They have completely different styles. It’s like comparing a point guard to a center in basketball.

John Williams made the E.T. score so he literally wins everything. That OST is the pure embodiment of magic.

Just the scene alone with Luke and the binary sunset and Williams score playing in the background is quite arguably the best moment in cinema history and I’m not even a huge Star Wars fan. Though I love Zimmer in mostly everything he does, nothing moves the soul more than that single moment in A New Hope.

There is something unique and special about each of them.

I am going with John Williams and it is not even close. Hans Zimmer is good, but when placed against the scores of John Williams, I could not even tell what he wrote, the sole exception being Pirates of the Carribean.

Both men are of great ability, but I believe that one is a Mozart against a Salieri both a great lights in there own day, but the one plainly outshines the other.

I remember always watching this Piano Fight in 2018-2019.

John Williams make us remember certain moment in the movie with his iconic high notes soundtacks . Hans Zimmer make certain moments super intense with low notes and its almost like we're living that moment . John Williams' music is memorable . Hans Zimmer's is intense .

If you asked me to listen to one of them for 24 hours straight, its zimmer all day every day. Literally. His melodies are so infectious and emotional and dont every step into the realm of repetitive.

But damn Williams absolutely takes it for sheer iconic scores. Everyone on the planet can recognise Williams music from a note or 2. Every time in this cideo i though Zimmer would take the round, out comes Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Superman and Harry Potter. Each one of those has a claim to being the most memorable score of all time. Its ridiculous.
