That icon in the top right with the heart(?) in the middle of a blue hexagon is the Better Breeding mod. The babies will always have the best stats with that mod. Parents will always pass down the highest of each stat, including mutations.

Poor Axe!!! So before greenhouse adopt a red panda, get a few more raptors so you can breed them (and have them in the costume), find a rex bone costume and breed them up, you need about 20? For the elephants, they need to be extinct!!!
