My father, yes, a Ukrainian from the Soviet Union, along with three of my uncles, fought first to defend Stalingrad and Moscow, then defeat Germany and then help the Americans, British, Canadians and French to defeat the Germans who occupied Paris and even other cities that were impossible for the USA to defeat. If it weren't for the Soviet Union, made up of 16 countries, Germany would now own the world.
