I love this entire video.
Ответитьhopeful is courageous... okay. thank you. :D
ОтветитьShout out to the ones who know cousin skeeter
ОтветитьCousin Skeeter was one of the few American shows we had here in Holland growing up, it had my favorite theme song at the time. Had no idea Shawn was connected to that show, crazy. This was a great conversation, I loved each of the movies these guys made this year and it's so nice to see that from the top down the success of each movie wasn't accidental, it was clearly the result of incredibly talented and dedicated people who really care for what they're doing.
ОтветитьDid they run out of battery for the camera or something?! Such an abrupt ending!!
ОтветитьJon is like "I've been around". He did Wicked justice and he chose great.
ОтветитьNo hyperbole here but Chu is one of the Worst filmmakers of all time. .
ОтветитьI loved this, but I did get annoyed a few times by how often Shawn interrupted Jon - it was usually to give him a lovely compliment but I kept wanting to hear where Jon was going to take his point!
ОтветитьI didn't want them to stop. So insightful and I love the fact that they both knew about each other's film so well that they were connecting similarities with WICKED and DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE.
ОтветитьLoved this comment conversation. Also, didn’t expect Cousin Skeeter to catch a stray here lol
ОтветитьThis is SOOO good! Thank you! ❤🔥❤
ОтветитьI've always thought Shawn Levy's output was pretty mid (Although I have a soft spot for Night at the Museum 2), and I've gained a lot more respect for him as a craftsman after this
Ответить2 directors, i really enjoy.
ОтветитьAnyone remember Jon M Chu's danceoff with Miley Cyrus.
ОтветитьI love these ___ on ___ interviews because it’s really just two film nerds talking about their passion projects and being blown away by each other lol
Ответитьthis is hands down the BEEEEST
directors on directors conversation of 2024!!! SOOOO insightful and with ACTUAL TIPS for aspiring directors and even producers!!!!
This gives off jimmy fallon wicked and Deadpool and Wolverine song vibes
ОтветитьI used to love cousin Skeeter I used to watch it everyday after school reruns. Don't discount cousin Skeeter lol
ОтветитьYou better believe I remember Cousin Skeeter. I care most about this work for Nickelodeon. I need a whole video about that!
ОтветитьI enjoyed the enthusiasm and excitement of this discussion.
ОтветитьLook at that, there's that one guy who directed 2015's Jem and the holograms and another guy who helmed 2013's the internship
ОтветитьDid they not get a pic together for the thumbnail? 🤭
ОтветитьEveryone is here only for Shawn
ОтветитьThis was inspiring
ОтветитьThis video feels so plain. Oh! I know why? There’s no sauce
ОтветитьGot the 2 worst directors of the together 😭🙏
ОтветитьShawn power talking was a bit much
Ответитьnot my dream to be a director but i love hearing about the creative process from them. incredible pairing, incredible video
ОтветитьPerfect pairing 👌🏼 Both directors without artistic flair, both exclusively into corporate filmmaking and both making generic mainstream marketing juggernauts.
ОтветитьGreat conversation and wish it was longer. Like all the incites they both have with each other.
ОтветитьWhat a great vulnerable conversation between these two talented artists
ОтветитьOk. Luca and Denis were unbelievable in this format, but I'm not the biggest fan of both these directors. I hated every single second of DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE. Besides it being unfunny, awful looking, annoying and stupid, the direction wasn't THAT interesting. But I enjoyed FREE GUY and I like Levy's work on STRANGER THINGS, but he's more like a director to do the studio projects, that knows how to technically make a film work. But not a big ARSTIST, who has his own distinct style, like Denis, Luca, Nolan, Wes Anderson etc.
Same with Jon M. Chu. He has no real distinct style of his own and the way he directs his projects mostly bores me. But I loved WICKED (mainly because of the story, the songs, and the cast) and he got the job done! He did a wonderful job with the "Defying Gravity" sequence!!!
But I'm thrilled to see who's next.
Wait step up 2 the streets also! The range
Ответитьthis is quite possibly the worst directors on directors ever 😭
ОтветитьThis was pure gold.
ОтветитьI absolutely loved this! I was so captivated by their conversation! So fascinating. ❤❤❤
ОтветитьI wasn’t so sure about the legitimacy of these directors… until Shawn mentioned Big Fat Liar. Greatest movie of all time
ОтветитьCousin Skeeter?!?! LOVED that show!
ОтветитьThis was a choice.
ОтветитьSuch a great pairing! Deadpool and Wolverine and Wicked have a lot in common as buddy movies with two characters who start out as enemies and end as friends.
Ответитьsad it cut so fast at the end i felt like theres so much more, loved seeing both of them get nerdy about films they made and what cinema means to them, i also loved that both of them really taking in on the movie they watch and discussed the tiny detail from the films and not just a known point from the film
Ответитьthat ending was so abrupt lol but great conversations all around
ОтветитьThis was the best thing ever!
ОтветитьI always wonder how they pick who's gonna talk to who for these interviews... my money is that their names rhymed lolol
Ответитьgotta give credit props to Shawn for not stereotyping, CRA movie by saying Asians. Rather have him saying Asians than CR model minority stereotype word
ОтветитьDeadpool & Wolverine is (unpopular opinion) overhyped and a slight downgrade from the usual satisfaction I find as a Marvel fan. Wicked however is my favorite movie of 2024! It was a little above what I expected. I love superheroes and musicals. But examples of pure cinema from the two genres are not easy to find. Other than that, I respect these two storytellers as a young cinephile. My favorite Shawn Levy movie has to be Real Steel!
