China is always overcapacity, that's what they do to keep prices down, control inflation and make everyone able to buy.

What an oxymoron if ever you had one. "Inflation Reduction Act" The very definition of inflation is an increase in the money supply chasing finite goods. So here you have free money being pumped into an industry to try and reduce prices? Just call it for what it is - government subsidy to help uncompetitive industries stay in business. It may be strategic, but it is also misallocation of capital when it comes to accurate economic terminology.
China is playing 5D chess using assymetrical warfare, and Yellen is heading over to try and play chinese checkers with the masters of the game.

I watched Yellen's talk in China, She said she understand China becoming more competitive, but if China would be consider to being less competitive in terms of EV, solar power that will give such favor to USA. She did not have balls to "warning" or "Chiding"

It's a rhetoric similar to that of the Nazis; in the 1940s, Germans said that a certain race of people didn't deserve to exist, and in the 2020s, Americans said that poor people weren't entitled to affordable household goods. Inexpensive goods mean that low-wage mothers can use the same amount of money to buy more food, toys, books, and medicine to feed their children. However, these are considered a sin by Americans! Countless facts show that the US presumes to define everything, control everything, grab everything, and if you are weak and incompetent, they will also destroy everything.

Isn't that is what capitalism is all about? The market will self-correct for supply and demand over time. Is the US still a capitalist country or an imperial power, go around telling what other countries should be producing and by how much?

China produced 4.7 million STEM graduates annually. The U.S. produced 600,000. Is this over production? Should China reduce the number of STEM graduates? With this vast pool of STEM graduates, as China moves up the technology ladder, the U.S. can no longer compete.

What over capacity old aunty? You are rich. You can afford anything.

I live in South East Asia. I am looking forward to cheaper goods from China and to the day I could afford an EV car and solar panels produced by China when the prices go down further. If You people in the US don't want them, just don't import them or don't buy them. If there is no demand, China will not produce. Simple supply and demand principle you seem not to know. What a shame. But you and you president are more bent on deliberately and unabashedly maligning China for you own political purpose back home. Why don't you just stay home and ask Blinken not to travel to China as well. I think China should even sanction and ban people like you all. You are not bringing peace and harmony and prosperity to the world.

Suddenly all the Anglo-Saxon people in the west suddenly don't seem to know the simple DEMAND and SUPPLY economic law. Why is the US YELLEN and BIDEN so concerned with the Chinese business people producing goods with not enough buyers (which is basically what over capacity really means)? It is the Chinese companies which may go bankrupt, not the US, if they're good cannot sell. There is also the natural law of "survival of the fittest". Learn it. You cannot change the law of nature and let your dogs control the humans, for example, which may well be happening in the US .

What nonsense about overcapacity. Simply let the SUPPLY AND DEMAND mechanism to play by itself. Yellen is too clever to forgot the obvious. Or is she and the US is so altruistic as to worry about the Chinese manufacturers losing huge money to produce things no longer sellable because the market is saturated? Yellen, stop the protectionism. US shouted the loudest about globalism less than 10 years ago. Now it dreads GLOBALISATION like it is COMMUNISM. We are nobody but we fear none of them.

It is a win win situation for them to artificially set the tariff to the level that their industries can complete and their government get more revenue through import taxes. Besides, poor countries can afford to buy at cheaper prices.

Accordingly, smart students in the US should be jailed or sent back to their home country so that the not so smart locals don't appear stupid.
