The language of the celts is definitely indo European thus ultimately from the steppes migrants. As you noted the ethnogenesis of celts as they moved west acquired indigenous Neolithic farmer DNA and a lot of culture. Cunliffe’s Atlantic origin idea can’t be possible in terms of the language.

Spain is a mestizo nation. My Asturian family were Goths, a tribe which had split into Visigoths and Ostrogoths and were always led by Germanic military elites, the Balto and Amal dynasties. My Roman Ferro became Hierro and is linked to the Navarrese Jimeno clan by way of the Olarte of Orozko, Basque, during the time of Sancho III El Grande. My grandmother is northern Mexican.

I am Caballero from the Iberian peninsula with a family shield and crest (shield was a horseman holding 3 moors heads on horseback and our shieldwas the lion. We fought the moors with the Romans but my history is limited since my Aunt passed. She had our family history but passed before sharing the rest as our family scattered. My name is the original spelling and I'm curious to regain my history.

For the past year, I have been creating an amateur film project, called LUSITANI, which will eventually become a saga. This is a legend created by me that represents some fictional events from Celtic-Lusitanian mythology (Portugal in the bronze and iron ages). I would really like to have your support in some way!

LUSITANI's first film is now available on this same channel with which I'm making this comment! (The sequel is already being written!)

I think Astures in Spain and the kingdom of Dalrita of Scotland may be related and traded for hundreds of years. Dalritas wealth came from cow hides, gold smiths and other things of trade. They also had a port in Wales. It all checks out from what I have read. Thanks for the help.

Pretty idiotic to split Portugal from the map when dealing with this period, specially since the tribes and peoples had nothing to do with those borders.

The Spanish bull, is a remnant of the Phoenecian belief’s and worship of Molock, the bull/cow/milk… Malaka, spelled MLK’ in Phoenecian, is the root of the word Milk, (milch melk moloko)…. Later the word was replaced by Latin influence but remained in indo-european and Semitic languages.

I'm Portuguese, I stopped watching at 9 secs when the narrator said "hispania was what the romans called the whole peninsula", incorrect and just a bad excuse for history, cutting out Portugal in it's modern borders is just retarded, you are transposing a division that wasn't real at the time, I hope your other videos aren't this bad because you have 400k subscribers and your feeding them incorrect and lazy bs, you are damaging history not showing it.

Spain & Portugal share a common history with pre Roman Iberia, as their current nations and borders didn't exist yet. and many of the pre Roman tribes had territories that blended into both regions of what is now modern day Spain & Portugal. therefore, when talking about this time in history it's a little strange to only mention Spain.

The romans took over the already existing name Hispania from the Carthagineans. In the punic language "ishebanim" meant island of the shaban, a small animal they knew from Phoenicia, today called "Rock Hyrax" (a very small distinct relative of the elephant) . They just transferred that name to the equally sized local rabbits.
One could almost say that Hispania translates to "Island of the rabbits"......
