I'm a human being and this song is beautiful
ОтветитьBeautiful song. But why does the english translation sometimes mismatch with the latin verbs?
ОтветитьThis song was played in my community meetings
ОтветитьIt's beautiful 😍
ОтветитьThe way it should be sung without vibrato and freely, like Gregorian chant.
ОтветитьMANY MANY MANY CONGRATULATIONS FOR THE WHOLE WORK !!!
GOD BLESS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS !
This song is so special and in Latin brings some touch from ancient times.
ОтветитьHow do I purchase a recording of this?!
ОтветитьAnyone know any recordings with historically accurate Latin pronunciation and not modern Italian pronunciation? Don't get me wrong, this performance is great and most probably could not care less about this sort of stuff, but as someone with an interest for historical languages, the incorrect pronunciation puts me off.
ОтветитьI admit from the very first note I started to tear up. Tremendously beautiful song this is.
ОтветитьIs it scary that I listen
ОтветитьYou should translate the Latin lyrics instead of just posting the English lyrics.
Ответитьeverything just sounds better in latin
ОтветитьI’m an atheist and I love this. It’s haunting, and the fact that it’s hundreds of years old is so cool.
ОтветитьThis makes think of being in a monastery as a knight, raising a sword to the Cross to show service to the Lord

ОтветитьIn all we owe all humanity, Let us approach the Christ of the manger, to repent and God will forgive
Isaiah 59: 1-4
1 Behold, the hand of the Lord was not lowered, that he might not be saved, nor his ear heavy, that he might not hear;
2 But your iniquities have made divisions between you and God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that you may not hear.
3 For your hands are polluted with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips are become deceitful;
4 No one seeks righteousness, nor does he judge in truth; he fears in vain, and lies in falsehood;
Nascetur pro te Israel mean shall be born for you, the English translation of this line is wrong.
ОтветитьThis is the literal translation of the verses and the refrain.
Oh come oh come Emmanuel and free captive Israel who cries in exile, deprived of the Son of God.
Rejoice, rejoice, Emmanuel shall be born for you Israel .
Oh come thou Divine knowledge who orders everything here, oh come and teach us the way of wisdom and glory.
Refrain
Oh come to us and like the rising sun by thy coming disperse the clouds of night and the dreadful darkness of death
Refrain
Oh come, oh come thou King of the Nations, thou Reedemer of all to save thy servants who are repentant of their sins
Refrain
