I head out for a solo overnight camping adventure in the cold weather that we currently have. With the latest snowfall it’s possible to ski which makes it a lot more fun and enjoyable. I set up the Hilleberg Enan tent and get to experience the aurora borealis (northern lights) before going to bed.
I’m experimenting with different ways of packing light, even for cold winter camping experiences like this one where a lot of gear is needed. Being able to pull the gear in a pulk makes it a lot easier, but with a large pulk it’s easy to bring too much stuff, so I’m experimenting with packing light and pulling a bag instead of a pulk. I’ve done this for a few years now and so far I like the solution, especially for shorter solo adventures like this one.
