honest opinion, the lite should have a better battery than the base because its solely a portable and most people use there switch in the dock 24/7. just my opinion no-one asked for but I wonder if other people agree or disagree

But isn't the regular Switch also a portable system and a hybrid system? Why not just stick with that? Also, why is called Switch Lite when it doesn't "Switch"?

Thinking of getting a Switch lite for my young daughter and the idea that it is all one with not much removable parts is a plus for kids. Should I just get her a regular Switch?

The lites joy cons are so unresponsive especially on Mario kart..

I brought the switch light because I'm more of a playstation guy than a nintendo guy and a only got it to play games like Mario Kart 8 and Smash Ultimate that are not on playstation.

Is the switch lite a good system? I just bought a turquoise for $75.

I already got the regular Switch. But I’m really thinking on buying the Lite version for its portability

IMO nintendo really fumbled when decided to remove the option to conect to a tv on lite, so for me it's more like 'poor's man switch' than nintendo switch

This is why i want the switch
1) I just want to play handheld games (most of the mario games i like are handheld)
2) I can transport it easier
3) Its cheaper
4) You can have blue switches

I want the Switch Lite because it has a D-Pad. I played the regular Switch when I was visiting my cousins. I don't like how you have to use the analog stick for Super Mario Bros. and other games where you need to use precision. It was embarrassing that I couldn't make certain jumps because the analog stick is clumsy and not what I'm used to when playing 2D Mario games. I like the Nintendo 2DS because it gives you the option to use the D-Pad or analog for some games.

I own a switch OLED, have an opportunity to get a Lite reasonably cheap. You've helped me make my decision not to add the Lite to my roster today. Thanks bud 😊

just got the lite as a christmas gift, love how much lighter it is in the habd than my old original model. that one will now be strictly a tv cknsole

Debating buying a switch and thinking I’ll get the regular switch. Will I use it for portable more, yes. But will be nice to be able to hook it up to a tv.

Say if I get sent on another trip for my job, I can pack the dock and all its parts, and if flying I can keep the main part to play on a plane. And when I get wherever, I simply hook it up to a tv there and play while on a business trip.

And cheaper than buying a steam deck. Still getting back into pc gaming and can’t get my head around a “console” for pc games. That’s where a Nintendo switch is coming into play for me.

I have and love them both, but I hate that now feel like I need to take them both when I go somewhere, knowing I can only play on one and usually dont even do that. I did the same with the vita

Switch lite is the best choice here, buying v2 and oled is a huge waste because with that price I’d rather get a ps4 because the games are almost the same price. Nothing to think about.

well it depends on what people want, they're not really missing out on the convenience of the lite, sure the lite doesn't have joy cons, but it's a good console cuz it has a lighter weight, the battery life shouldn't be a problem as well since we have power banks nowadays, and you can still bring the power adapter, the prices here in the Philippines for the accessories are much cheaper tbh, and it's more convenient to bring the lite cuz it doesn't take too much space, well the only problem is that when it has the stick drift, you can't really buy joy cons for the lite, but hey, you can buy parts online and watch yt tutorials on how to change the sticks

Edit: one thing to add to the regular switch is the rail, it can wear out from removing the joy cons

If I get a Lite can I play local MP games with someone who uses a regular docked switch on a TV?
