Very helpful tutorial. I have a request: if possible, could you please show how to make a gauge. Thank you, Norman.
ОтветитьThanks for another lesson
ОтветитьBookmarked, thank you.
ОтветитьGreat tips. Thank you so very much.
ОтветитьGreat method. Thanks 😊
ОтветитьGreat technique Norman! Everything looks nice and even! Thanks for sharing!😊
ОтветитьLove this method. Thanks
ОтветитьNot only do you make very useful videos for both new and not-so-new knitters, but your videos are perfect! They're to the point, well-lit and well-spoken. Thanks!!
(PS. I lived in Heidelberg for 4 yrs in the early 1990's on the US Army post there with my family. I miss it so much! Germany is a beautiful, beautiful country!)
That is how to change color to crochet sort of. At the last pull through of the last stitch u grab the new yarn and pull thru. I've not seen the twisting thing. I just tie them together with overhand knot but just one overhand so sort of twisting it. Interesting. I don't like the overlap technique where the stitches are bigger than the other ones.
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьI am working on an intarsia project with bulky yarn and when I trap the new yarn one stitch before, it leaves a visible bar of the new colour in the stitch. Is it just a matter of tightening the yarn enough to hide the bar before weaving in the end? Will my stitch be less secure if I just twist and don’t trap? Thanks!
ОтветитьI am going to try my first intarsia project, and it is a huge poncho, Lion brand L500030B pattern. Your yarn color change tips sound really good and I hope mine looks half as good as yours when I do my poncho!
ОтветитьIt took me over half an hour of googling and YouTubing before I found this video, I just wanted to know how to start of knitting a new colour, thank you!
ОтветитьHi Norman, thank you so much for your videos, which are concise, clear and to the point! I am knitting a baby blanket for my grandchild (due in December) it’s grey with white fluffy sheep and was struggling in finding as ‘good’ way to join the fluffy wool so as not to leave holes, and your method worked! I have noticed that I sometimes have a little ‘hole’ at the end of some of my sheep, where the white fluffy wool joins the grey. If you have a suggestion for this please let me know, thank you! Helga from Cape Town, South Africa
ОтветитьEasy peasy, done. Hooray!
ОтветитьI can’t wait to use this!! I’m knitting another intarsia stocking for my niece and this method is going to be AMAZING!! Thank you!
ОтветитьCan I use this method when I’m running out of yarn and I want to join in a new ball?
ОтветитьThanks a lot for you Channel. It will help me a lot for improve my Knitting Skills.
ОтветитьHow do you do it on the purl side
