Black Sabbath has some great ones, like Paranoid and War Pigs. Those are fun to play and easy to learn.
ОтветитьWhat technique do you use to mute strings on your right hand? I started getting bass lessons and I got taught two different ways to mute strings but im not sure which is best!!
ОтветитьGreat list. I think Wham's "I'm Your Man" has a pretty interesting bassline! Deon Estus is a totally underrated bass player.
Ответитьand a whole Primus discography
ОтветитьLevel 6 - Tommy the cat
ОтветитьMy current highest on this list is #38. Nice.
Ответитьfeel good inc should be way lower. it was one of the first i learned
same with teen spirit
I'm always shocked that nobody ever suggests Sublime - Wrong Way. It is really accessible and good practice. Plus it is just fun to play.
ОтветитьI have had several online lessons on the harmonica and Guitar Tricks. BassBuzz is the best online learning tutorial.
ОтветитьMinor point but Waters didn’t write or play on the recording of Money. Gilmour did.
Ответитьif spain isn't on here i swear to god...
ОтветитьAh, but we're I to learn Zombie, I would need to listen to Zombie which is unacceptable.
ОтветитьOh my… I began to play bass by learning New Born by Muse 2 months before the concert. Crashed it totally with even higher speed than originally. Felt crazy 🙈
Then - muscle museum - Muse, Chop Suey SOAD, foo fighters - pretender and learn to fly, and finally Hysteria 😅😅😅
Thanks for the great list!! And you positively nailed the Thunderstruck look!!!
ОтветитьBrick in the Wall pt 2. I’ve always used a a drop D on the E string. Try it.
ОтветитьFirst bass line I learnt was Feel good inc. Now that I have mastered the bass I relize how I use to play that riff entriely wrong.
ОтветитьI like that you put Muse's album at the top in the thumbnail.
Muse & Chris Wolstenholme are still the Masters these days!
I’m looking for a video that shows the cool groove from Jesus Jones’ Right Here, Right Now.
ОтветитьHey man, I have a Precision, could I get that sound you have?
ОтветитьWhy there is nothing like this video on guitar?!?!
ОтветитьIt is a crime to put seven nation army that high on the list if you play it on the g and d strings 🤣
ОтветитьI was so excited to learn Thunderstruck for Bass expecting something... I felt that face!
ОтветитьPeace sells ???????
ОтветитьBass in a White Stripes song, really? 😛
ОтветитьDown in the tubestation at midnight by the Jam should be on the list (I don't think the Jam were as big in the US as the UK so maybe it is not so well known over there)
ОтветитьLove this ❤
ОтветитьWell, I knew 30 of them. That's enough to play a 3 hour set 😁
ОтветитьNo "Dazed And Confused"? Shame on you! 😂🤣😅
ОтветитьCarausel by Blink-182 has a peak bass intro. Learned it fairly quik. However What's My Age Again is a real good beginner song
Ответитьmore of this :)
ОтветитьThank you so much! This gives me so many sings to learn! You suggested it in your video of bass lines that normal people find impressive
ОтветитьFeel good inc. is the first riff I learnt 😭
ОтветитьWhat level would Green Day's Longview be in?
ОтветитьI was thinking of making a video series where I, unlike my previous video series, not only play the drums to a lot of songs, but also sing, play keyboards and the bass. Given that I play the drums on an expert level but not the bass, I need to turn down the difficulty level of all songs. This video could help me with some choices for that, I assumed. Hearing that one of my already selected choices was ranked as #1 on the noob scale pretty much killed my ego, so thanks a lot for that, jerk 😒
😉
🔥💯
ОтветитьExcuse me but how the fuck is crazy train #2...what the damn hell? String skipping part is not that easy.
ОтветитьI like your style, but these songs are too hard for an absolute beginner. Riffs are a problem, because for a beginner, the whole song should be very slow and easy, not just some riffs. Can I ask for slow and easy songs for an absolute beginner? I have found Something in the way, Come away with me and Hello. Songs as easy as these, or easier, would be appreciated. There is nothing for me in your list, if we are thinking of the whole song. It is discouraging to get songs that are too hard. Been there. That's why I am working on the songs I mentioned, restarting as a noob. I am open for suggestions, hope you are too!
ОтветитьAs a teen, my easy songs were Aerials by SoaD and Bombtrack by RATM. My difficult one was Death Blooms by Mudvayne. Also liked playing Rancid songs. 😊
ОтветитьGreat riffs, you really nailed the learning path. Well done
Ответитьgreat list!
ОтветитьI've been learning some of these in a very very different order. My very first song o learned with my instructor was Feel Good Inc.
I learned Creep on my own months later. I tried to learn Hysteria but it still eludes me as it is too fast for me and too much to memorize right now.
grrrr where dark necessities????////
ОтветитьHey Joe and September were a couple of the first songs I learned! That makes me feel slightly better about my skill level 😅
ОтветитьCan you do a video on playing "Invisible" by Duran Duran I've been trying to find the tab but can't and I'm still a beginner so I can't just learn by ear quite yet
ОтветитьThe commentary was killing me 💀💀💀💀 Go buy the course at Bass Buzz. Phenomenal. Great teacher. Worth every penny. Unleash the inner bass beast in you.
ОтветитьI think "A thousand miles" from Vanessa Carlton is a pretty good one for begginers too! That was actually the first song I learned to play on bass
Ответитьnothing of the cure? joy division?
Ответитьone for the next 50: Robben Ford & The Blue Line - You Cut Me To The Bone. Essentially a blues in F but try and make is swing like Roscoe Beck does.
And one more for the swing of it: Freedom 90 - George Michael. Deceptively simple but it has space, some nice fills and played to the 'Funky Drummer' groove. I guess you were distracted when you saw the video on MTV :)
I think you should teach lessons solely on doing various bass face..just bass face..no bass..no music..bass face is the most important technique to master
ОтветитьWhat song would YOU learn first if you could start over?
Ответить
