So Clerks isn’t the sequel to Mallrats?
Ответить... & while we're at it, where is:
Hit Somebody
Moose Jaws
Krampus
Tusk 2
Ranger Danger ???
I liked mallrats
ОтветитьI loved Mallrats as a kid but it is really not funny compared to his other movies, except after clerks 2
ОтветитьYo that's crash twinsanity music bro I hope your getting some pnssy tonight making a mallrats two video n having that as your background music
ОтветитьI remember Charmed being one of my favorite series among what my mother watched i syndication that I thought was pretty cool (if it started a bit late). Sabrina the Teenage Witch was also one we liked, but I think it got killed by the re-boot, had to wait for one of those "God's not Dead" movies to see my first precocious 'crush' again,
ОтветитьI've only watched them high, but I enjoyed Clerks and Mallrats equally
ОтветитьRlly, idc how shitty it may have been; w so many characters/A*list celebs willing to return, I wanna see it. It's nostalgic & fun & ppl can go f×ck themselves 😁👍🥰. That is all. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьI met Kevin Smith at a 7/11 in Saskatoon. Lmao
ОтветитьGrowing up me and my brother would randomly just yell “ AND THAT KID… IS BACK ON THE ESCALATOR!!!!”
ОтветитьJust how old is the Whangster?
ОтветитьI never got into these movies back in the day because all the edgey kids would quote jay.
ОтветитьLove the CTR soundtrack here
Ответитьnever noticed the takeshita shirt!
ОтветитьSee mallrats 2 is funny because while yes you can’t trust Kevin when he says something’s being made, I do trust him on mallrats simply cuz he’s been trying for so long and I don’t think he’ll give up, it may not be for another 10 years but Kevin will get us mallrats 2
ОтветитьMallrats 2 is crazy, 2 of the big roles fans would want to see back are dead, like what an awful preface to a movies creation
ОтветитьI don’t love jay and silent bob reboot, or clerks 3 but I’m glad they exist and I want mallrats to get closure, especially cuz it’s Jason Lee and Ethan Shipley, they deserve it after my name is earl
ОтветитьBetween mallrats and my name is earl, I’m just convinced Ethan Shipley and Jason Lee aren’t allowed to finish their comedies lmao, always incomplete
ОтветитьI could do without it, Mallrats ended well enough. I came to the conclusion that Kevin Smith just got very lucky years ago though and he’s not actually a good writer or filmmaker. Clerks was good, Mallrats was good, I like Chasing Amy and Dogma too, but then I could have really done without Clerks 2 or 3, Strike Back seemed like it was trying a too hard and Reboot was plain uncomfortable to watch.
I have no confidence Mallrats 2 would be any good if he ever managed for it to come out, and the longer he wastes time, the older everyone looks and it’ll just be uncomfortable to watch. He had lightning in a bottle back then but whatever he had is 2 decades long gone.
Kevin should have stopped making things years ago after said he was "out of ideas" and done directing. He got really weird after the truth about Harvey Weinstein came out. I know he used to idolize Harvey, but if feels like he knew something about what Harvey was doing. And has been trying to make up for it.
Ответитьto hell with mallrats, we need more My Name is Earl
ОтветитьI do not trust Kevin Smith to make mallrats 2 any good. i fully expect a woke disaster lol.
ОтветитьI never got the Mallrats hate, I always found it hilarious.
ОтветитьSeeing aging characters in a sequel is just tired and depressing now, especially when Kevin Smith does it as much as I loved Brody I'd like to remember him in his prime, Jason Lee can still act but he just doesn't have that same energy for that character anymore, and we're talking from nearly 30 years ago the cameos he had in the other movies after Strike Back I didn't see Brody I saw Earl Hickey and Dave Seville
ОтветитьI found Mallrats new for sale at Blockbuster on VHS and bought it because I have always have been intrested in mall culture. I am glad I found it. Same for Dazed and Confused at Suncoast Video right when it came out.
ОтветитьHave you done a video on the 4chan salted ass butter?? If not
Day 1 of requesting video of 4chan ass butter
I've seen all of Kevin Smith's filmography and loads of other movies from 1950's till 2025, Mallrats is still my favourite comedy film. I hope for a sequal, but doubt it will be as good, or even good.
ОтветитьIf the sequel is made, Jay and Silent Bob better face the Easter Bunny again, who hunts them down for revenge.
ОтветитьMallrats 2 could be good because they could make a joke about how malls are dead media and obsolete and then go from there. Double down on jay and silent bob and leave johnny depp daughter and harley quinn out of it. Show more tiddys
Ответитьi loved clerks and mall rats but kevin smith is a tool. movie critics are also tools. i still watch mall rats occasionally and it gets me all nostalgic for the mid 90s.
ОтветитьEverybody in my circle knows that mall rats is my favorite Kevin Smith film of all time. So much so that if they're not buying me something with the joker on it, it references Mall rats
ОтветитьI love Mallrats. Always have. Of course, I was a mallrat, so I totally got it.
ОтветитьThere is another reason it never happened. At least for a while in the late 2010s Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee could not be on the same set/in the same movie because Lee left Scientology but didn't sign a 'while not bad mouth the church' agreement for several years. Suplee is still in.
ОтветитьYou don't know Now and Then? It's so good!
ОтветитьFor lack of a better word: Modern Kevin Smith is your Stereotypical Nerd Cuck. And it's for that reason I don't think anything is ever going to happen and if it somehow does, it probably shouldn't.
ОтветитьI always thought it was a good movie
ОтветитьConsidering his recent output I think the fact that this never saw the light of day is a godsend, personally.
ОтветитьI'll always remember the first time I heard about Mallrats. It was in a leaflet distributed by monthly by my local video club talking monthly and in there was Mallrats...and it had no synopsis and I don't think it even had an age rating. I must have been around 7-8....so I didn't have any idea what the title meant. Made it look so mysterious. I would eventually catch it on TV (and it took me several watches before I actually got the plot). My big brother gave me the movie as a christmas present, but he had no idea I had seen it before.
ОтветитьI liked mallrats. But didn't like clerks lol
ОтветитьLike that one redditor said, "I won't believe a Kevin Smith Film is truly happening until I see a trailer" but if recent news is true, it is very ironic that we are probably getting a Dogma 2 before a Mallrats Sequel. What kind of timeline are we living in? 😭
ОтветитьAint that silent bob?
ОтветитьI fucking hate critics. How many movies have been overlooked because a critic doesn’t understand that not every film needs to be Citizen Kane!
ОтветитьSusanne is one of the greatest Weezer songs. Period.
ОтветитьI literally watched mallrats few weeks ago. 1st time in years. The NEXT day was day lil girl got caught in escalator. I couldnt believe it. "Kid is on the ESCALATOR AGAIN!!"
ОтветитьKevin Smith reminds me of why social media was the down fall of the cool persona of so many actors. They can all too easily reveal how deluded and whiney they are.
ОтветитьSort of glanced over the fact that it took like a decade for clerks to be a hit.
Also, the big green fucks
I loved now and then!
