Maitre D is cold. Lol
ОтветитьI like how this guy thought he was being intimidating. Then you remember how he quivered when Alfie got in his face
Ответитьgreat job by the actor... It's like you can see Tommy doing everything in his power, not to draw a knife and slowly drive it into his eye sockets... Romanovs lack of etiquette for eating, his whining over the fact that the british government finanzes his luxury lifestyle....For the love of god.. stop fucking eating when you're conversing, like a fookin' rat...
ОтветитьDon't take that sapphire tommy 😭
Ответить"Although since then he has done nothing but humilate me.
"Who, God or the King?"
"Sometimes both mr. Shelby"
That part had me dying😂😂
His lips froze to that deck then smacked on some caviar
ОтветитьHe's still a little man according to Alfie Solomons 🤦🤔🤷😂
ОтветитьLos iracundos
ОтветитьI love the start of this scene. Just two stone cold professionals talking to one another.
ОтветитьThe maitre'd didn't look at Tommy whilst talking to him for the first 40 seconds. interesting.
ОтветитьThe sapphire curse only works for those who have not emptied greed from their souls. That was not the case of Mr. Shelby. This is how russians become strong. Cuz they were forced to kill richness before being sth. Some english know no matter how much you get sth, by the end of the day, you have nothing.
ОтветитьImagine if Tommy was down bad and immediately sniffed the sapphire 😂
ОтветитьI'd rather more interested in political section sprayed in this dialogue that Romanov seems to have difficult time shaking hands with Tommy. Back in home even though he's not direct-closed blood relation with Russian royal family, the reds as we know led by Lenin and his bolsheviks dog is their sworn enemy and this dude go to England only have face to face with Birmingham gangsters that also shaking hands and besided themself with the socialist cause in Great Britain..... And Romanov knew it. What a dangerous game he played in here but it is what it is. Anyway this is great show.
ОтветитьThis scene is one of my favorites,it's everything the dress, the setup how romanov is eating, that he's well off but gypsy's around,I luv it
ОтветитьI'm surprised Tommy didn't just clip him for eating like that.
ОтветитьLittle did he know that Tommy never eats...
Ответить🔥 🔥
ОтветитьDo You Understand?
ОтветитьFoley artist really went for it
ОтветитьI love rewatching this scene every time, I have multiple reasons, and here they are.
1. When talking to the Russian noble, Tommy insults him by telling him he is really a Georgian. If no one knows why , it is because Georgia, the country, was a backwater place to live in the Russia Empire at the time. Even Stalin changed his name to something more Russian.
2. The Russian started throwing insults about the English, even when they saved him.
3. Tommy responds to the insults by telling him this is Great Britain. It doesn't matter what your title is. You pay me to kill the people you hate. A very interesting fact about English society was that it wasn't uncommon for some Lord or politician to approach gangsters to handle sensitive business. We see this all throughout the series.
4. Tommy sees the writing on the wall for them. They are never going to win against the Reds because they are ignorant of everything around them. As the Russian sits there spilling his secrets to Tommy. Secrets that are later used to rob him.
5. It becomes clear to the Russian that Tommy is different from the others he has met. He is brutally honest and clearly hates being there. This is why he never eats anything in the scene. To Tommy, this is another business meeting with another scumbag who is willing to pay any price to see the job done. Also, when Tommy mentions the assassination of the spy and killing him comes with a price tag, it is beautiful. I assume this because it was very normal for the Russian to order assassinations for no money. It was done out of loyalty to his family. Tommy is not some Cossack that can be ordered around.
6. I have always said it that Peaky Blinders was The Godfather Part 1 and 2 of the streaming world. Each scene has a purpose, and each time you watch it you notice new things every time.
Well never be soft and weak again says the clown who can’t even pay his hotel tab
ОтветитьWhat's this? A Russian not recognizing their station and thinking they deserve not to be humiliated when they're being a humiliating person?
ОтветитьHe making me hungry 😂😂
ОтветитьI love that the Maitre D' considered Romanov as Tommy's guest instead of the other way around as soon as Tommy threw down some cash haha
Ответить" Im guessing that all the bad decisions made around here are you, they are you " Alfie had this guy scared haha.
ОтветитьThe Russian eats Caviar like a Slob. Have a little class when you eat caviar. Dont eat it like a Pig.
ОтветитьWhat atrocious table manners.
ОтветитьI would have washed that sapphire properly before put it in pocket.
ОтветитьI'm curious, whats he eating the caviar with? crackers??
Ответитьnot a tough man at all when he crumbled in front of Alfie
ОтветитьThe Russians can find enough money to pay the GOP off in the real world. 😅
ОтветитьRussia was soft and weak during the final days of Nicholas II, Russia has not been soft and weak ever again!
ОтветитьGobbling up like a pig
ОтветитьLike how the concierge doesn't look except when referring to the money. First when talking about the bills and second when Tommy puts his money down.
First time, he was probably trying to gauge how much Tommy knew. Trying to gauge how close they were etc.
Small but good detailing.
Romanov talking about compromise like he did twenty years in the can.
ОтветитьOne of the best scenes in Peaky Blinders
ОтветитьI like this scene tommy was basically watching him eating lmao
Ответитьi thought this scene was tense until Alfie walked in haha
ОтветитьHe wasn’t smashing glasses when alfie showed up I’m just saying
ОтветитьThe ending of this scene always gives me goosebumps.. insanely well performed and such fitting background theme.
ОтветитьThe bald tuxedo in the reservation counter is an underrated act?
Ответить“Russian women know how to hold it, and when to let it go. Your cock I mean” 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWhy did he break the glass in his hand what was said
ОтветитьPlayed by Jan Bijvoet, Belgian.
Superb.
