If you haven't found a fix to the Romance Festival glitch (which you probably found), the same thing happened to my Geekcon. All I did was have one of my sims go to Geekcon and attend it. They stayed there until the end and the items started disappearing. I think that might work for you.

Missed the Huntleys, downloaded Teagan's family and now my sim's teen child is dating Maisie, but they're best friends with Mia. I don't control how the twins act around each other, but no more boy drama! Multiverse of Sims, y'all.
