Hi, does this code work for MAX6675 as well?

I am having an overshoot in the temperature readings. Put it into ice cold water (which should be zero C) and its reading around 6C +-1C. In ambient air in my room (around 65C) is reading 45C, so this is not a linear error. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have a doubt , as you are saying MAX31855 chip can also be used to read temperature from PT100.
How ?
PT100 output is change in RESISTANCE.
MAX31855 read change in voltage ???????????????????
