Why Optimus Had Earth Truck Parts on Cybertron in Bumblebee

The war on Cybertron, specifically the point when the Autobits leave their home planet, wasn’t that like millions of years ago? That would mean Earth was in its prehistoric period and no trucks? 🤷🏼‍♂️ I mean, the Beasts made it to Earth first and they took the form of beasts because there were no vehicles. IDK. Different timelines maybe?

I believe his design was slightly different when he arrived on Earth at the end of Bumblebee so his design on Cybertron are all Cybetronian parts. I think it's just a design choice

bumblebee and rise of the beasts fucked up the entire franchise they were good movies but they don't make sense with the story of the old bay verse or even the new transformers one

I noticed that bumblebee in his solo movie , Bumblebee, had a cybertronian car design to the transformers 1 design

He still had a cybertronian alt-mode which is based off of his G1 design where he also looked truck-like but still had the cybertronian alt mode given that these are based off of G1 designs

he actually has a different alt mode in the opening of bumblebee, if you compare to his appearance to when he's on earth he has cybertronian hub caps, smoke stacks, he has no windshield wipers and no lights on the silver line on his shoulders

The most likely answer is just that they made the earth-based form for the end scene and got lazy with modeling or didn’t want to pay extra so they just used the same one for the beginning.

And in some comics we see Optimus visit earth alone, so he visits earth, takes in the beauty, accidentally kills a deer, learns about the fragility of earth from a human, goes back to cybertron, informs the autobots, then the bay movies

TF One is the first Transformer media I've seen Optimus using his exhaust pipes as a thruster to rocket punch somebody.

In the first bay verse transformers they said all of earth technological advancements came from reverse engineering cybertronian technology. Wouldn’t this mean technically earth vehicles are actually cybertronian vehicles? Prime doesn’t look like earth truck, earth truck looks like prime

Actually, if you have closely looked at Optimus Prime's design in the Bumblebee movie, his wheels and smokestacks were different from when he was on Cybertron to when he arrived on Earth because when we see him in the final moments of him with Bumblebee, his wheels are now earth tires and his smokestacks are now based on his earth vehicle mode.

He did in fact have two different designs in that same movie, it's just that it was simply the wheels and the smokestacks that changed. It is a very hard detail to spot unless you take your time to actually observe.

Why is this a thing people are talking about? This happened all the way back in G1.

I like how everyone is agreeing to this theory but this wouldn't have made any sense because one of the many problems the autobots face in the Transformers rise of beasts is that they're stuck in Earth with no way going back to cybertron so how would optimus have gone and scout earth come back to cybertron and lead bumblebee there to safe guard earth until he can randevu the autobots there if optimus would've had no way back to cybertron and the ppl saying he must've used the arc...where is it in rise of beasts???

Sentinel prime did the same thing in Transformers three dark of the moon as you recall, he was based on a earth fire truck when Optimus revived him

I think the exhaust pipes could be Cybertronion since in tf one optimus had exhaust pipe. Can't say anything about the windshields though¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Optimus NEVER have parts of an earth truck since the cybertron opening scene wym??

key points to notice is the difference of the white stripe on his shoulders below the autobot logo. they have two parallel line cutouts whereas when he arrived to earth, they became circle cutouts. his forearms have bits of blue on it but it disappeared when he arrived to earth. lastly, the wheels have black rims while his earth form didn't.

If you are talking about his chest windshields, don't forget that Soundwave, Ironhide and Ratchet's design have transparent windows on their chest which disproves your theory that Optimus apparently scanned an earth based truck.

imo this vid is just pointless. Bumblebee movie character designs are just trying to look like their G1 counterparts but in a live action style.

In my personal headcanon, this final version in the film is definetly his vehicle form. Just a more stylized Cybertron version of a Freightliner...
