I watch soccer highlights and i still don't get why it has so many fans. I get the endurance part. But it feels force fed. Like they are forcing people in America to like it. I probably just dont like low scoring games. Can you imagine if the average NBA final score was 1-2? Sitting there waiting on someone for 2 hrs straight. Like man i got better things I can be doing with those 2 hrs.

The ball definitely went off the line. Unless they are counting the side that’s hanging over the line. But I haven’t played in 25 years or something so I really don’t know.

The key is to distract the red player's attention so that he wouldn't see what the lines man did (when he made sure of the ball's position)

THIS IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS.
From the fact that all the other players are just standing or strolling around while one player is putting the ball 'out', it's clear what's actually happening here is that the ball is being given back to the red team after a white-team member has just received medical treatment.
Because the white-team player put the ball 'out' so quickly and easily with his foot, I doubt that he was deliberately trying to fool his opponent at all. And I'd question if the white team then actually took advantage of the situation by taking a normal free kick, instead of simply tapping it to their opponents in a spirit of sportsmanship. The picture that makes it look like a white-team player is about to take the free kick normally looks like it's not connected to this incident, but probably a different one altogether. I say that because the picture shows the ball definitely inside the sideline, when we know that linesman would have made him take it from exactly the same spot where it was illegally picked up. And he would have made absolutely sure a bit of the ball was overhanging the line in the same way that at corner kicks linesmen are required to do. (Actually, the arrangement of the white hoardings in the background compared to those in the main film are definitely different, so it's conclusively a different incident).
So, I'm thinking that the only people being fooled here are not the red team players, but us here viewing this video. So many of these shorts are doctored or just plain staged to create something that just isn't real.

The ball is not out unless its entire circumference moves horizontally past the vertical plane at the outside edge of the sideline. This applies whether the ball is in contact with the ground or not.
Hopefully this makes the rule clear for all.
