you should revisit this since their new heads sets rolled out.

I ordered a 5k Plus last march, still havent got nothing.
Pimax customers services is complet crap, they barely speak english.
I gave them loss notification from both carrier, they just don t care and I can t do shit about it.
I just have lost 1300$.
I strongly advice avoiding their products.
If anyone have the same issue, plz contact me.

I personally use the oculus rift cv1 because
1. I love the controllers
2. Good strap
3. Uses base stations
4. Its got the oculus games

Personally i dont wanna spend 800 dollars on a vr so i got mine on ebay cuz they dont sell it anymore for 180 and it has the base stations for better tracking when i have more variety of games on the steam store and oculus store

i just want a vr headset so i can go on rollercoasters

The quality looks bit shit tbf for the base pack. I would have liked less FOV to compensate for the pixels or more pixels to compensate for the larger FOV.

Pros
- Large FOV
- Hight resolution on the 8k
- Pushing other VR device makers to give us more FOV and resolution

Cons
- Very poor build quality
- Not as clear as G2 Reverb
- Heavy
- Ugly (I consider the valve index to be very beautiful)
- Ultra large FOV means you need to push more pixels to compensate
- Expensive for such a low build quality device

One display in 0.1K and the other in 7.9K

Would really appreciate if you could help me in this - your video has really inspired my to buy a pimax as wow that immersion but at present using an og vive at the moment with a gtx 970 and an i5 4690k with 8gb ram but in the future the only upgradeable headset that I feel is worth it is the pimax 5k plus / super so rather than buy a whole new pc was hoping to just upgrade to the maximum the motherboard will accept which is an i7 4790k (and I could potentially over clock it as well as I do have water cooling in place ) and the maximum graphics I think I could use without bottlenecking it is to use a gtx 1070 and again might be able to overclock this and upgrade the ram to 16gb -so am wondering if I could run this headset with medium fov with this setup ? (I’ll use a reduced face pad to maximise the fov and help reduce the distortion around the edges ) - I want to play modern vr games and just play 2D older games in 3D( non vr) using geometry 3D in vorpx through the headset and I don’t mind an odd noticeable drop in frames like eg every 10 seconds or so but as long as there reasonably playeable so the question is will i be able to do this without too many issues ? As far as am aware I think they’ve optimised the PiTool and I think there are things like asynchronous warp etc to allow to run better on lower spec pc . Would really appreciate the reply . Cheers
