Hawkwind 'Do Not Panic' was the first I bought and proper amazing. Live 79 is right up there too. Been fortunate enough to do a whole gig sat against the amp on stage with the band at Hay on Wye. I was buzzing for about a week. They were brilliant as ever and if anyone has a photo of that night Id love a copy.

Brilliant song, one of Hawkwind's best, yet again, nothing to do with Brock, it relies on the talent of Steve Swindells and the fabulous guitar playing of Huw, then came Levitation, again all Huw and the great Ginger baker drumming, then followed mediocre crap in the guise of Hawkwind

I love this track, the anticipation if the crowd at the start, the bubbly build up and wham full on. The turnaround is thunderous and the solo bristles with energy. Magnificent.

Epic rocking piece from Steve Swindells. I think Live 79 was maybe the third of fourth LP by Hawkwind that I bought in 1983 maybe, and I was blown away by its power, but still there were the futuristic synthesizer sounds... Huw Lloyd-Langton impressed me a lot. He was very intense on this album, one of my favourite by Hawkwind. I only wish it would be longer !
