After a good night’s sleep, we hop on our on our Honda CRF250L and set out from Luang Prabang across the Mekong River towards Hongsa, a small town not far from the Lao-Thai border via the 4B, a 126-kilometer stretch of paved road that carves its way through the lush-green mountain vista of remote Laos. Once arriving in Hongsa and after successfully finding food and rehydrating, we decide to press on towards Xayaboury while the sun is still in the sky. This leg of the journey from Hongsa to Xayaboury is 88 Kilometers. The road is much rougher with mammoth potholes and sections of the road being complete sand or gravel or a mix of the two. Cows and buffalo also seem to like to hang out in the middle of the road, so focus is key. After another full day of riding, we finally make it into Xayaboury and begin to prepare for the final day of our Laos adventures. Hope you enjoyed it and see you on day 4 in Laos!

A special thanks to Chris from LAO-ADV for providing the bike, helping plan the route and giving lots of great advice. If you are looking for a reliable person to either, be your guide or to rent a motocross bike from in Laos, he is your guy.
